The problem is our 40 year experiment with de-regulation of everything. The FCC regulation the transmition volume of on air programming. But in the 80's the FCC was pretty much rebuffed when they tried to do the same to pay TV. Thank you Reagan. Call for regulation of ANYTHING that is supposed to serve the public interest.

I have hyperacusis and the volume difference is not just annoying.......it is painful. It forces me to leave the room at every commercial or watch online. Auditory abuse like this should really be regulated.

Commercials should not be louder than the actual show you're watching and why are they as long as 5 minute breaks now, what happened to 1 minute breaks?

If you were to watch ABC you would notice that the ads area at a lower levels are lower than the show they are on.

I know that we are hostages to commercials, it's how this business works. But unless your quick on the mute button, be prepared to be annoyed. I can only hope that our cries will be "heard", and that TPTB will have pity on us loyal viewers.

Way too many commericals during any show or series, and certainly WAY to loud!
Too Bad they can't bunch up all of these obnoxious loud commericals after the show or series has ended..sort of like a credit run, but run all the commericals, that way people can elect to watch or turn it over/off and or mute them all!

I hate this kind of thing with a passion. It was half the reason I skip commercials, the other half being that 90% of them insult my intelligence.

I find it very offensive and usually change the channel. So much for selling me on the item!

commercialis a little too much it used to be 3-5 minutes you can clean an entire house with a commercial. do you think we all acturally listen

I'm glad to find out it is not my TV turning against me!! I, like many other people choose to mute these offensive ads and when they are played back to back as they are sometimes known to do I change the channel or turn the TV off.

They think they are getting your attention.....WRONG>>>>> I just hit the MUTE button until the show comes back on. Therefore, I miss the comercial & do not buy the product. Hummm...guess the sponsor wasted his money,huh?

If a commercial's volume is out of line ie:Too Loud, the advertiser is wasting money in my house because I just mute the sound until the spot is over. So, I agree: NO MORE loud commercials!

I hate the commercials. I have to grab the remote to turn it off or turn the sound down. Very irritating and it does not induce me to buy a product.

I appreciate not being the only person royally pissed off at this! There are certain channels I can't even stand to watch anymore. And it is just typical that it isn't allowed and they still find a way to do it. Believe me, it DOES NOT help sell product.

I used to fall asleep with the tv on timer. Can't do that anymore because of those **** commercials.
