     I think that even if the OC can't be brought back to the air from the point that it left, it would be fun to throw some ideas around for the producers to check out.  If the petition reaches 100,000 signatures, I'll submit it to the former producer, josh schwartz, and ask him to check out the suggestions that we have. There is nothing better than an insight into what the people want, especially when it comes to entertainment.

     *PLEASE BE ADVISED* Anything too soap-opera - esque will be ignored, ie: someone dying from the past, and then it only turns out to be a dream. That's ridiculous, and the OC never got to that point. Thoughts on character develpment and plotlines are welcome, as well as suggested cameos and personas. Flashbacks are fine as well, as long as it's tasteful, and not comprising of a full season.

so, just to summarize,

  • flashbacks -- OK, SO LONG AS TASTEFUL AND SHORT.
  • NO MORE MARISSA!!!!!!!!!!! SHE'S DEAD. A TRAGEDY, IM SURE, BUT SHE LEFT FOR A REASON, LET'S RESPECT THE WRITER'S DECISION. IN FACT, NO DEAD CHARACTERS PERIOD
  • Reallistic storylines, things that are a continuation of the original series --- ALRIGHT!!!
  • New characters and cameos -- MORE THAN WELCOME!!!
  • A FAST PACED SEASON, LIKE SEASONS ONE AND FOUR.
  • remember, all the characters should interlink, so give people a blast from the past!!!
  • HELP CREATE, DON'T JUST CONDEMN AN IDEA, LOOK FOR THE POTENTIAL IN EVERYTHING!!!

I know you said that marissa is dead, but to be honest the show just isn't wat it was when she was there, it still was brilliant, and i've got an idea i want to throw out there, so here goes. The season in which marissa was killed in should be re-written, then the show can just carry on like normal and keep on being adictive like it was in the first and second seaon, three and four as well but not that much. So plzzzz if anyone reads this vouch for me and let them get the writers to re-write that season and carry on plzzzz plzzzzzz plzzzzzz. Marissa is in coma and she doesn't remember nothing...at one point everyone still heard about her,she's completely different even if she had remembered everything..after seeing ryan and taylor,she knows about seth and summer marriage and she found out that she's jealous of...seth!she decides to tell seth about her first crush at their first years of school and how much summer tried to put him out of her mind saying he was a loser..seth has to take an important decision

ryan and taylor go to college some eppys can be of them in college. soon enough they graduate with college and ryan gets a real job with the help of sandy. ryan asks taylor to marry him and she post pons an anwser because she finds out shes having his baby. ryan and taylor go out to dinner with the whole family (Seth summer kirsten sandy. someone askes why taylor isnt drinking and shes runs to the bathroom crying. then summer drives her home. and talks to her to tell ryan about the baby. taylor tells ryan when he gets home. ryan is shocked and asks why she didnt tell him sooner. . .... the wedding comes after a few more eppys ... and trey shows up. trey wants to be apart of ryans life again. but he doesnt know now that he is going to be a father. but trey shows ryan he changed. so on and so on

i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the OC! i got all the seasons on dvd and have seen it from start to begining like 5 times already!! and still going! i cried when it finished coz i felt like i really knew all the characters!! i loved seth and summer they were the best!!! my boyfriend and i see ourselves as seth and summer and so do our friends!!! please bring it back!!!

We should focus on Caitlin who was perceived as a one sided character since the beginning. When she returned she was once a one sided character, only with a different personality. We should focus on her and the community after Marissa's death. Does Ryan go back to his old life? Do Seth and Summer change their college plans?

Are they already out of college? The last question is the most logical if we are trying to stay true to the time period, which was always the present in the original series. Ryan, Seth and Summer are finishing college, or out of college. The grief still lingers. Ryan still misses Marissa and basically sees her everywhere he goes. We revisit as Ryan's family comes back into the picture, Caitlin is now in her senior year. The Cohen's are still dealing with Caleb's death. And a new group has emerged: the young kids that were seen in the Pilot at the table with Seth and Ryan are our new focus along with Caitlin as the center of attention; giving a new breath of life to the old setting.

With the vast changes in California in the very recent years, we can show the economy with Sandy and others, politics and other deeper issues. We have to remember that the main base of the original fans are now between the ages 17 and 22.

Yeah I like the idea of bringing the OC back, but come one Marissa is dead in the show just leave that alone. I think it would be a good idea to have it where kevin Volchuk gets out of jail and kinda go from there.

i think that maybe instead of another series it could be a movie and marissa should be in it but something more like she was never put in her grave... julie kept her in the hospital in a private room and she was in a coma and then she wakes up

I believe this was one of the best teen series ever. I liked the idea of showing consequences coming from alcohol, drugs and just the bad way of living. These series are not just for watching, they are for teaching!

I LOVE THE O.C OK WHAT ABOUT THIS THAT THE REALLY Marissa DIDNT DIE THAT SOME MADE IT LOOK LIKE SHE DIED BUT SHE DIDNT SHE IS BEING KEPT SOME WHERE BY SOME BAD PEOPLE AND THEN RYAN FINDS OUT ABOUT THIS AND THEY FIND OUT THAT IS IS ALIVE BY I WERID MESSAGE TO RYAN THAT ONLY MARISSA WOULD KNOW ABOUT HIM OR SOME THING THAT WOULD SHOW RYAN THAT SHE IS STILL ALIVE AND SUMMER AND ZACH SHOULD GET MARRY IN THE NEW SEASON IF ALL THIS HELP BUT I BELIEVE THEY CAN BRING BACK THIS SHOW IT IS REALLY GOOD AND MAKE IT A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER BUT AS THE SEASON GOES ON SHOW WHAT HAPPEN DURING THOSE YEARS AND WHY IT IS THE WAY IT IS NOW ON THE SHOW AND WELL THAT WAS MY THOUGHTS WELL I HOPE THIS DOES WORK

i think this is the greatest idea ever,The OC has been my all time favorite show and i miss it so much. I have watched each season 4 times bcuz i miss it so much. :(
It would be gr8 if marissa could rise from the dead somehow but i dont think they can really make this happen..however, there are many other options. I think the show really should revolve around the newly born kids and maybe the kid that Ryan meets at the end of show 4 as well.maybe seth and summer's love should be put under question at some point so that they dont look like an old couple instead of a young one..maybe Ryan can actually break up with Taylor and start dating Caitlyn or something like that,more dramatic..
I really hope that we all succeed in this because The OC is the best show ever and it really has to be continued somehow!!!

Hey i think that the plot should revolve around the new cohen baby, after its grown up, and is a teenager, it would have the parents and some other people who were in the OC originaly, it would be great to see the old characters back now several years older.
