PAY OCTOBER ROAD FORWARD
Many devoted fans are coming out of the woodwork to help save our beloved show and are fighting to bring it back for MANY more seasons to come! *CALLING ALL ROADIES* We all want the same thing - to save October Road! In the process of this campaign we will also be helping which is always a good thing to do! Here is how it will work.
We purchase a copy of the 1st season of October Road on DVD. Take it to our local libraries and donate it to their DVD section. Along with this you will take the form letter to the contact person there at the library and explain to them that you are participating in a campaign to save this show and would like to donate that copy to their section. Then have them sign this form that you did this and if they have a library stamp with their address on it, have them also stamp the bottom of the letter. NOTE: If you have other books or DVD's you have been looking to get rid of and would like to donate at that time, have the library make note of this also on the letter. They create movie care packages and ship out weekly. Also, the DVD's get passed on to others when they are finished , and that's GREAT! All you have to do is click and ship!
When you have done all of this, send the related letter back to ABC. I know that maybe some are hesitate about spending that $20 or so, but I have looked at it this way, I will just give up my "pizza night" this week and spend it on buying this DVD to donate. Save your receipt and a copy of the letter, it will be tax deductible!! INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Purchase a copy of October Road 1st Season. 2. Visit your local library and donate, making sure to get the letter stamped (if possible) and signed by the receiving person. Make sure YOU sign the letter and add all of the appropriate information needed. Mail to ABC. (Address to ABC is on the letter) 5. Make sure to post at the Yahoo group, here or on the ABC October Road message boards after you donated. Please specify the town and state you are from and the library where you donated. PLEASE BRING BACK OCTOBER ROAD! Why take away a unique show that everyone relates to and loves? It makes no sense. ABC's executive only care about ratings...its time to air shows that people actually ENJOY and thats NOT REALITY SHOWS! LONG LIVE OCTOBER ROAD....THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
OMG I hope they dont cancel OCTOBER ROAD!! I really dont want it go off the air theres to many unanswered question still left. I want to know what is going to happen with Hanna Jane & Nick. I also wonder if she is going to find out about Big Cat and what he did to Eddie. OMG PLEASE BRING BACK OCTOBER ROAD!!!

Please bring October Road back!!!! This is one show that should continue on~there are so many other "new" shows that are just dumb! Why do they always take the great shows off of the air???

It can't end there are way to many questions left unanswered! I have been talking about this show since the last episode aired and I have all my friends wanting to watch! you have to bring it back!

As usual,ABC gets me interested in a series and pulls it. I am faithful to ABC and am beginning to weigh my options on other networks. Quit looking at 18-45 age groups as the only people who spend money on products advertised on ABC. I spend much more than the average American and I am 58. OCTOBER ROAD....come back please.
I totally agree with you. It really isn't fair that they can put stupid stuff on TV. Who really wants to see someone try to jump on a ball or jump through a hole? No one I know. I MISS OCTOBER ROAD!!!

I love October Road and really miss the drama hope it makes it ... I mean it was way more enjoyable than the daily garbage that is currently on.
I love October Road. I agree cancel some of the reality shows and keep October Road on TV. I look forward to watching this great show. It would be a big mistake to cancel this show. DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!!
I'm the same as most. I had no idea this show was cancelled, I was searching the web to find its new start date and BOOM, its canclled? If it had 3.4 million views at the end of last season, how many viewers does it take to renew a show? ABC is slowly but surely heading to reality TV for most of its programing. Give me a break, if I have to see one more celebrity, athlete or tabloid personality dance, I may actually scream. I would love to see another broadcast station pick the show up. Market it as it needs to be marketed, put it in a decent time slot and see where it goes from there. Lifetime has Army Wives, so why can't it pick up October Road, it was offered, and run it after Wives season ends? What a bummer on October Road. I've seen the pay it forward concept, but my question is, how does that change the mind of ABC's CEO? I agree with the influx of the writing, e-mail and message campaign and I'm allf or stocking out libraries and sending troops care packages, but is the CEO going to really be swayed by that?
I cannot believe they would cancel this show over some of the dumb reality shows that are on. This was actually one of the best shows I have seen in YEARs!!!
I would love October Road to come back for a 3rd plus season. I hope some network picks it up because Im starting to lose hope in there being anything good on T.V. anymore..
I loved October Road and really want to see it continue. There are so many unanswered questions on the show - they need to keep the story going, and if nothing else, long enough to have a decent closing where we all know who is Sam's dad, and who ends up with who!
I have never taken this level of interest in a tv show before but I love this show. It has a terrible time slot so I always either stayed up late for it or recorded it. Hopefully another network will pick it up. I will go to any station and even get extra cable channels for it. Given ABC's editing of Charlie Gibson's interview with Sarah Palin, I think ABC network management is losing it. BTW- can we agree that political answers for either party should not be edited like a tv script. I can't believe they would do this and want to hear every boring word all candidates utter without ABC'S HELP TO MAKE IT SEEM BETTER FOR TV.
I have never complained about a show being cancel but it didn't even get a chance to get started with the writers strike it didn't even get a heads up or anything I thought it was a good show and I looked forward to Thursday nights. I would love to see it come back. There are some shows that shouldn't have even been brought back. but this is not one of them.

I CANT BELIEVE THAT ABC WOULD GIVE UP SO SOON ON SUCH A GOOD SHOW. ITS LIKE A REAL LIFE SOAP OPERA NO GLITTER NO GLAM JUST REAL PEOPLE IN EVERYDAY SITUATIONS THAT SO MANY OF US CAN RELATE TO. I WAS SO MAD WHEN I MISSED AN EPISODE WHEN THE SHOW STARTED BUT WAS RELIEVED THO FIND I COULD WATCH IT ON MY COMPUTER THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY SHOW I HAVE WATCHED ON MY COMPUTER PLEASE ABC BRING IT BACK
Why would ABC consider taking this GREAT show off air?? Why not that stupid crap wipe out ,etc! This is one of my fiends, family & my fav's and could not wait for the season return!! COME ON ABC!

Is this show cancelled? I just stumbled across this while I was looking for when it is coming back. this is the first I am hearing of this - say it isn't so! They are going to leave us with such pivitol plot lines unresolved???? NOT FAIR!!!!! I feel party responsible. I had class on Monday nights and never watched it in its regular time slot..I used to stream it on line as they offer full episodes. I became ADDICTED last spring when Soapnet ran a all day marathon - I literally watched 9 hours straight!!!!!!
I am heart broken. Finally a show that wasn't another crime solving mystery or another over the top unrelatable drama series. I was bringing people over to the show with every new episode. How could they end this show?!?!?
I can't believe this show is gone!!!! I feel like weeping! I really don't understand how they calculate the ratings because noone came to my house to ask me if I watch the show!!! PLEASE bring it back!

I am so upset that this show is not coming back! I love the characters and the plot just sucks you right in! With all of the unfortunate things on TV it is hard to find a quality drama anymore. Please, bring it back!
Bring this show back. There are a lot of fans, this show is endearing and warm, reflective and sincere. It resonates with me and I can hardly believe it won't be back. Please fight for this show, don't let this be the end.
