PAY OCTOBER ROAD FORWARD
Many devoted fans are coming out of the woodwork to help save our beloved show and are fighting to bring it back for MANY more seasons to come! *CALLING ALL ROADIES* We all want the same thing - to save October Road! In the process of this campaign we will also be helping which is always a good thing to do! Here is how it will work.
We purchase a copy of the 1st season of October Road on DVD. Take it to our local libraries and donate it to their DVD section. Along with this you will take the form letter to the contact person there at the library and explain to them that you are participating in a campaign to save this show and would like to donate that copy to their section. Then have them sign this form that you did this and if they have a library stamp with their address on it, have them also stamp the bottom of the letter. NOTE: If you have other books or DVD's you have been looking to get rid of and would like to donate at that time, have the library make note of this also on the letter. They create movie care packages and ship out weekly. Also, the DVD's get passed on to others when they are finished , and that's GREAT! All you have to do is click and ship!
When you have done all of this, send the related letter back to ABC. I know that maybe some are hesitate about spending that $20 or so, but I have looked at it this way, I will just give up my "pizza night" this week and spend it on buying this DVD to donate. Save your receipt and a copy of the letter, it will be tax deductible!! INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Purchase a copy of October Road 1st Season. 2. DON'T CANCEL OCTOBER ROAD. IT HAS JUST NOW CAUGHT SO MUCH INTEREST! PLEASE LET IT CONTINUE!
Did anybody ever see the movie Beautiful Girls (1996)? Awesome movie and that is where this show came from. It deserves a chance. I love October Road. It reminds me of becoming an adult and still not over being a teenager. If any of you haven't seen Beautiful Girls rent it. And you will see where this show came from. But it needs to continue just as we all do. We need to see where thier lives end up.
October Road is one of the few down home wholesome shows left on network tv. This show really hits home with the yesteryear of our lives and relationships therof. It draws upon many emotions that people can relate to in a very direct manner and the small town backdrop with all of its quirkiness is enlightning.
Bring this show back!!!!!!! It makes a true difference.
I am destroyed by this news I was setting up my dvr for the fall season and october road has been canceled!!! why? ABC are you for real? Yet you air things like HS musical get in the picture? Have you no taste? how about the people (adults) who actually pay the bills!!! we are your true audience!!! I am ripped!!!
Well, I can't afford the donation right now....but I will say it's sad that ABC won't take into consideration what the viewers want. I don't have much desire to watch ANYTHING on a network that chooses for us what we should see without consideration of what is being requested by their viewers. I say the comments speak for themselves, sad for ABC.
I have never been involved in a campaign over a TV show before, but I love this show. I would love to see it go on for a long time, but if ABC is goiong to cancel it, at least give it an ending with answers instead of leaving us hanging!
I really enjoyed this show and I am constantly pulling up sites to see if they will hopefully let October Road continue. I think it is crazy that ABC will air so much garbage but then a normal show gets aired and they cancel it. The viewers could not have asked for a better cast or storyline. The network should reconsider and let it air.
I'm from a small town in MA and my friends that still live there we would watch it together while we were on the phone. PLEASE BRING IT BACK WE NEED IT.
I can beleive October Road has been cancelled, because it seems that every time a new,fresh,drama comes to TV it gets cancelled. If I see one more reality show on the TV, I'm going to throw up. I wish I could buy a copy and donate it, but I have four kids and a husband with cancer. Money is way too tight. I really look forward to my favouite shows and have to really prioritize with my time. It's getting to the point where there is nothing good on at all. Shame on ABC, please give October Road one more chance.
I have never complained about a show being cancelled before, but I would really like to see the return of October Road. Each week I faithfully looked forward to watching "my show". Please bring it back!!!!

I had never seen OR and bought the season 1 DVD - now I'm stuck because I have no clue what happened!!
I can't buy season 2 and there are no plans for season 3!! I love Bryan Greenburg, actually the entire cast couldnt be more lovable. I got online today to see If I could purchase season 2 and came across this instead... very disappointed. When you look at the shows that continually get renewed its almost laughable. And then you have a smart funny original show like OR and they cancel it. Can't say it enough... Its very disappointing.

I love this show too, sincerely devastated that they canceled it, however you can purchase season 2 on itunes. I have and watch it often.
We had no idea October Road might not come back this fall! WHAT WILL WE DO without OR? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't leave us to suffer in over-crowded reality TV land!! This real life people stuff is what we love and need - this show about just living - PLEASE!
I love October Road, who wouldn't? The cast is attractive and interesting. I will be really disappointed if the show does not come back on. I really wanted to know who Sam's father is and which guy his Mom will end up with.
I want October Road back on T.V.. I finaly found a show worth staying up for and looking forward to the next week. there's not much good T.V. I love the cast and the way it ended isn't right. Do us all a favor and bring back October road you got us to care about the cast and then you leave us flat bring it back we miss wathing.

I bought the DVDs and gave them to 2 of my sisters who then they gave them to my other sister and brothe who then gave them to their sons and daughters. Our WHOLE FAMILY of 24 watch each week and my wife and I watch again via the web because we always miss something. Please allow us to continue to be "Roadies!"
This is the first time I have ever taken the time to complain about a cancellation. But if it helps it is worth a try. October Road was the best non-reality show on TV. I couldn't wait for the next season and just logged on to see when it would start and found it was cancelled. Please bring it back, I watched it every single week. And if it comes back I will never ever miss an episode. I'm begging!
I can't tell you how disappointed we were to hear about October Road being cancelled so prematurely. My husband and I and lots of family and friends watched it regularly. It was one of the few shows on TV that we could relate to now as adults and also recall back to our teen years and smile. I feel like I went to high school with these guys and it's such a shame we might not get to see where their lives lead them. If ABC advertised it half as much as they do their other shows and gave it a consistent, regular time slot I have no doubt the show would take off and get the audience it really deserves.Just for the record I have never taken action in the past when shows I liked have been cancelled, but for the first time I feel it's really worth it to try to save this show. Here's to hoping ABC gives October Road another shot so the current fans can keep supporting it and millions of others get the chance to experience this phenomenal show.
I can't believe they are going to cancel October Road! This is my favorite show and I have been looking forward for the new season!! This cannot be happening! My week just isn't going to be the same PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!My whole family shares this show!!!
I just searched the web to see when October Road would be on this fall and found out it was cancelled! It was our favorite show...I loved the characters, the setting, and that it included several generations. All three generations of my family enjoyed watching it....my mom (76), my husband and I (54) and our three children (18, 16, 14). It's a shame that it is being cancelled....when season 2 started airing it took awhile for us to find it...but after we did, we were avid watchers. PLEASE BRING IT BACK1111
please bring back october road...i was a hug ABC fan I watch greys...dancing with the stars..but i will not anymore because they took october road off I loved that show and they have left us with a cliffhanger
With WAAAYYY too many reality shows out there this show was great, cast was great, scripts were great just all around great show! Made me come back to watching ABC after many years of not bothering and true to ABC form they cancel the good show and leave us with crap! BRING BACK OCTOBER ROAD!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring back October Road. I live in CA but was raised in the midwest and my assistant and I are true "roadies." In the craziness of today's world it made us feel great each week to connect back with a world we were raised in, proud of, and loved!

It is an absolute shame that a show that was full of promise and held a great story for viewers is taken away when the story really gets going. I waited each week to watch the story unfold and was highly dissapointed when I heard ABC was dropping the program because it didn't have enough viewers! What about those of us who were faithful followers? Don't we deserve the continuing story of our favorite characters? Or at least an ending to know what has happened with Nick & Hannah & Sam? Or even with Eddie & Janet? If nothing else, please give us an ending that will satisfy our need for a close.
I want to say that I love this show!! I was hooked from the very first episode. The whole story is soooo interesting, this is my favorite show and if it doesn't come back I don't know what I am going to do. I really wanted to see who the dad was and if Hannah was going to get back together with her sweetheart. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring the show back!!!!
Please bring back October Road. It was one of only a few shows that actually had a good plot line that didn't revolve around drugs, sex or violence. Every Monday I could get excited to actually watch some decent television and now ABC has taken that away. My husband and I were both very disappointed when we found out it had been cancelled. Now I will be forced to watch more meaningless television. It just isn't fair!! ABC, bring back the best show you have had. Please bring back October Road!!
I will not watch ABC even the hit LOST, I will stop watching just because of the fact they canceled my all time favorite show, OCTOBER ROAD. I didnt even know it was going to be canceled. I was patiently waiting on it to come back and didnt see any previews or anything, so I searched online just to find nothing! Just people saying its cancelled and everything! What the heck! Why? It was the best show! I love the cast, the plot, EVERYTHING. My husband and I watched this together, it was just so great! The reason the ratings dropped in my opinion, is because ABC sucked at advertising it, and everyone thought it was cancelled because it wasnt really advertised. PUT IT BACK ON PLEASE!!! If ABC wants to keep its ratings for anything, they should put this back on or someone else should take it like lifetime!
BRING THE SHOW BACK ABC!
