Issue:

Last year Agents Campeon and Ramos chased an illegal immigrant who was transporting drugs into the US from Mexico. The agents fired their guns and hit the illegal in the rump; nevertheless, he escaped back into Mexico. The agents did not report the incident; however, officials learned of it through a friend of the illegal immigrant. Charges were brought against the agents; the illegal was granted immunity by the Texas prosecutor to testify against the agents, who were tried and found guilty. They are serving prison term of 10 and 11 years. One of them was severely beaten by inmates.

Belief:

I believe from reports I have read and from listening to the CNN program "Lou Dobbs" that these men were accused on flimsy information. Furthermore, important information was "sealed" and kept from jurors during the trial. I believe that agents Campeon and Ramos were unjustly tried and convicted and should re released from prison with a full pardon.
