Yeah, the pledge here is winning because you can spam your votes if you want with fake email addys. dur! Blu-Ray is a failure? Need I remind you that you also said they won the HD medium war? lol Some Blu-Ray games do have installations, but that's for a reason... to make game performance and further load times slim to none. No, if 360 used HD-DVD for games, they would not have won. HD-DVD lost because it's overall not as good. Its DL version held 15GB less than a DL Blu-Ray, it had slower read times and less companies were using it. Blu-Ray is owned by Sony and they can allow other companies to use its format. Wow man! According to Spike, the game "GTA4" was the winner of game-of-the-year, they didn't say a specific system won it. lol seriously, you have got to be one of the biggest numbnuts i've ever had the pleasure of laughing at.

To say that Blu-Ray is losing to DVD is a bit of a stupid comment. DVD has been out years, & everybody has a DVD player, wherease Blu-Ray is still in it's infancy so of course DVD's are still selling more than Blu-Ray discs. However, Blu-Ray uptake is actually better than DVD was at the same time in it's lifecycle. DVD sales are dropping fast whilst Blu-Ray sales are on the increase.

If you can't see the difference, you're either lying or blind. Movies stream images in rapid succession. The images on a DVD are 720x480 while the images on Blu-Ray are 1920x1080. You do NOT get true HD visualization via upscaling. http://hometheater.about. com/od/blurayan...

If you can't tell the difference then good for you. I can, & although upscaled DVD's look good, Blu-Ray looks better. If you're happy with DVD then there is no point in you upgrading. I didn't want the PS3 for Blu-Ray anyway, it was just a nice bonus.

How can you say bluray is **** when it's the best quAlity viewing system in the market today?? I think you just don't want to accept the truth you only give negative comments about ps3 and too blind or dumb to see positive reviews and comments . A lot of game makers who hated the ps3 are now starting to like it simply because you can do a lot more with it as long as you have the know how but yea as a bluray player, I've seen best quality movies in crystal clear screen just amaizing

GTA IV only has more content if you pay for more content, isn't like they give you it for free. Anyway, I'd had enough of GTAIV by the time I'd finished it. Tell a lie, I haven't quite finished it as there were more interesting exlusives to play, so I guess I got bored before I finished it, whoops. I'll get back to it when I run out of other good games but that could take a while.

again kaden that is your opinion, can you download the lost and dammed packege in PS3?, this features a new character, and tons of mission, not just expanding the GTA4 experience, it adds a new one, and the 2nd one its way, that gives you a reason to keep playing the game (all do I do not like it), and they are less than 20 dollars, if you do not like again that is your problem.

Exactly, it's my opinion. If you like GTAIV DLC, good for you. If you prefer a 360, good for you, doesn't make it better, doesn't make it worse. Personally, I'm not a fan of most DLC. Prince of Persia Epilogue was a complete rip off, as was RES5 Versus DLC (both of these should have been part of the full game) - not all of it is bad, but I avoid for the most part.

again kaden, if reviews like it more, if sales like more, my opinion and your opinion are just that, opinions, again I did say I did not like GTA4, but for the people that likes it (almost 3 times what MGS4 are, and it also defeated MGS4 as game of the year in most places) adding an additional 2gb to the game is content is worth 20 dollars and a lot of people will get it, so at the end you say something is better because you like it, I SAY SOMETHING IS BETTER, BECAUSE OF THEIR REVIEWS, SALES, ADD-ON AND GAMEPLAY, AND SO FAR IS NOT ME, IS THE REVIEWS, AND SALES (and the pledge, and most survies) THAT SAY 360 IS BETTER.

Sales don't mean jack ****. This is proven by the fact that over 30 million customers are stupid enough to buy an unreliable, ugly, noisy disc scratching piece of crap, & then a good portion of them blindly defend the warranty as a positive reason to buy the unit until they're blue in the face. This is definitive proof that the buying public don't do their research & the bottom line is that price & gimmick will sell. Denial & the fact they won't admit they're wrong will keep them coming back for more. You only have to browse the internet to realise that around 2 thirds of the population of this planet are idiots. Well, I'm sure that rant endeared me to the general public.

kaden did the sales on the PS1 and PS2 meant jack **** too? because PS2 has been bougth by over 150 millions of people, are they wrong? is PS2 a bad console becuase the majority of people are sutpid? I never said that sales don't matter, I just said that they don't mean jack sh!t as far as quality is concerned. Of course they matter in so much as sales are needed for a company to stay in business - it doesn't mean what they produce is any good (doesn't mean it's not either). Only 10 million(ish) people bought the dreamcast, but that didn't make it rubbish, just a victim of bad timing. There is some really good games on the Wii, but there's a lot more crap on it than the other 2 platforms - it still outsells them both though, & it isn't due to price as you can pick up a 360 cheaper, & the PS3 isn't that much of a dig further into your wallet. If marketed & advertised properly a company can sell lots of almost anything. You can judge how well a company is doing by sales, but you can't judge the quality of an item by sales. You could say Microsoft & Nintendo as companies are doing better than Sony & I wouldn't dispute you in the slighests, doesn't make either of them better or worse products.

WII have a lot of good game, like mario galaxy (the highest rate game of this gen, funny it did not have HD graphs)zelda, metroid, mariokart, smash brothers, RE4 wii, madworld, no more heroes, World of Goo, Punch-Out!!, Super Paper Mario, Rune Factory Frontier, I just gave you over 10 games on WII that are highly rate, and have amazing sales, and when something is good it sales, the Iphone cost more than 400 dollars and all people want it and most of them got it, and when a game sales a lot is because is good, or have something good that people like (if the PS3 appeal to everyone the price would be a barrier), so stop using that as an excuse, is paying for what you get, and 360 is half price, and you get HD graphs, more exclusives, more options, and more innovation (xbox live first, now natal), so 360 is worth every penny, PS3 is an expensive machine, that at the end people end up buying 3rd party games (best sellers in PS3) that most of the time look and play better in 360, and RROD has a warranty (3 years), and the PS3 also breaks down, that is a lane argument. for example, PS3 gives you 2-3 exclusives a year, for example this year all we get is infamous, kz2, and uncharted 2, sony has lost almost all their big names, FF, RE, DMC, SF, tekken, SO, and now MGS (not that I really care), again compare to 5-7 exclusives (out of those normally 5 are good, 2 are ok or bad) so again kaden if 360 gives more games (good ones), more add-ons, the best network, innovations (xbox live and natal) a 3 years warranty and a good price, why should people pay twice for a less or same experience?

Actually, what I said above is bullsh!t (not the bit about the 360 I wholheartedly stand by that statement), 2 thirds of the population aren't idiots, it's just that the idiots are the ones who make themselves known. You never notice the quiet ones, just the trouble causers, so I take that back. I do believe as consumers these days we have such low standards & are so impatient (it's a now now now consumer society) that we just put up with any old crap, which bring us back to the 360 - I admit it, I am biased against it purely from a design standpoint. It could have the best games catalogue the world has ever seen. Natal could be the next coming of Christ, but it doesn't stop the basic hardware from being shockingly dodgy at best. People quote failure rates like a badge of honour, like it's something to be proud of, there go the idiots making themselves known again. I think I'm done now.

of course you are not, how can Ive thinking that, people that are not fans, are normally objective, that before talk about something they go and experience it first, sure you do that. Kaden please, you are a PS3 fanboy, Im game fanatic, again who cares?, I will start carying about what you guys say when you start buying games for me, until them I do not really care if you guys think im a 360 fan (all do im the only one on this forum that is open to all video games console, not just one) but normally fans do stuff like buying a 600 dollars console to play a game that they have to wait for almost 2 years to come out, again fans are so not objective, is what they like that is good, no matter what, and you are fan, face it.

Regarding your comment about experiencing something, I assume you mean before making a judgement on it. I tried to experience the 360, but almost every single time I went into a shop & tried to look at the display 360 it had RROD (even the black Elite ones) - you know what they say about first impressions (& second, & third, &....). I'm not joking when I say that it was hard work trying to find a shop with a working display 360. The only ones that I found were after I had my PS3 & they were playing LIPS (not interested), Prince of Persia (overrated game, the original PS2 Pop was far superior, & the new one is pretty much identical on both consoles) & Lego Indiana Jones recently (again, not interested). Of course I have a tainted view of the 360 from first hand experience.

Well, we kind of agree on something, & I am a gaming fan. Actually I didn't buy my PS3. It was a gift. On top of that it cost nowhere near $600. It was less than £300 including a couple of games. Also, I play the games that are out for it now - I haven't been short on games, as I'm sure you haven't on the 360 (I haven't got a thing against the 360 catalogue, it's quite impressive - it's just the hardware I have a problem with). I didn't have a thing against the original Xbox as it was far superior to the PS2 as far as hardware goes, but I ended up PC gaming for quite a while instead, & was quite late into 7th gen console gaming (mid-late 2008) & missed the PS3's shaky start. If I run out of good games to play on the PS3 I might consider another platform, but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. I don't think we'll ever agree on your pilosophy that sales=quality as I believe people will buy any old crap in quantity if it's sold to them properly, & Sony's marketing strategy has been almost non existent, which I believe is their biggest letdown - how are you supposed to sell something to people when nobody knows what it's about or what it's got to offer. Microsoft definitely got that bit right.

when I say 600, I mean 600 dollars, you live in Europe, funny you know that European people buy a lot of PS3s, yet the software sales in Europe are almost the lowest, what are they doing with the PS3?, again kaden those are lane excuses, you are a PS3 fan face it, is ok to be a fan, but again the jasper shipset has almost no red light, and they will keep improving, again PS2 had serius problems with the lens for a lot of time, so if you got it free, why are you not able to get games, morgage? you tell me you cannot waste 160 dollars in 3 PS3 exclusives a year (get another job), since PS3 exclusives are the best games (that is why the 2 best sold games on PS3 are 3rd party games, and they sold much better in 360).

I actually said, & I quote "PS3 owners tend to be older, have jobs, mortgages, bills, kids (to buy games for!) & so they have to be more careful with finances". I have had my PS3 8 months(ish) & got around 450 trophies without really trying for them (apart from Infamous), I currently have games in double figures on Blu-Ray alone & have traded in at least 10 completed games for newer ones + I have a fair few PSN downloads. I've not gone short on gaming since I got the PS3, & I've still got options when I'm done with the four or five games I've currently got on the go.

well the fact is that it has a 3 years warranty you get another one, that with the Price of a PS3 I can get 2 360, or a 360 and WII, the jasper shipset is much better, it does not make any noise (and yet you can also install the game if you like to avoid the "noise", again is not that noisy), and the red ligth reports on this one are almost none, so get one and them talk garbage about it, again to say something is winning, is the number of good games, reviews and its the sales that counts, and all Sony does is push, push, push, push, push, again no console can live with just 2-3 big exclusives a year. again the dark knight was the movie that was view the most it brake all record, yet it did not win that many oscars (only 1) yet this was the best movie becuse it was the most seen, and it wont over other movies becuase of that. And 2 thirds of the population of this planet just want to have to fun, and they see something that is fun they will buy (no matter what), and that what really counts, not the quality or the specs of the device, is how much quality and fun their games are, that is what you cannot see, yet you call 2 thirds of the world stupid, simply because they do not have you point of view, are you close minded or not? yes you are. I bet you are racist descriminiting gay/lesbian hatter, im pretty sure, I may not agreed with a lot of this tendencies, but I respect their opinion, and their right to do with their life what they want.
