It is about a movie they are planning to release to theaters in Dec., the movie is awful. At the end of it a boy   and girl KILL God So they can do what they want. This movie must be stopped. So please sign.

As for Rick E. - I take by what you say that you are an atheist, and i just wanted to remind you that, it takes more faith to be an atheist than to be a christian, I would highly advise you to believe in God before its to late. Christianity and God are not myths or superstitions. 

No God should not be in our schools we need to be teaching facts not BS.You weak minded people should study history try reading about the Crusade.If the facts about religion would be studied in school no one would buy into that crap.Schools are for teaching facts not myth or superstition.

I loved RI or BIS (RI = Religios insrtacitions, BIS = Bible in School) when I was in primary, but now there is nothing. I'm in College now and a teacher there tried to start up a christian group but gave up two weeks after :(

Prayer and GOD should be put back into schools

i agree prayer and GOD should be back in the school, there would be alot less violence in the schools, as for you who claim pushing religion and belief down your throat well nobody is making you children pray just saying it should be allowed, and for those who do not believe in GOD ironic you love money which says on every coin and bill... in GOD we trust... hmmm ponder that ironic huh??

The decline of the school systems is a result of the lack of parental involvement, which is also reflected in the push for school prayer.  School is a place to be educated, but an appreciation for knowledge comes from home.  You are disciplined at school, but you LEARN discipline at home.  Along those same lines... how many times a day does a child need to pray?  If prayer is so important to you, can you not spend 5 minutes sitting down with your child to encourage and guide them in prayer?  If you are praying with them at home, why do they need to pray at school? The answer... you notice the only ones insisting on school prayer are those who follow an evangelical faith?  That is because the only REAL reason for it would be another way to force their spiritual beliefs on others... and I find using a captive audience of children a particularly insidious means to that end.

North America needs prayer back in schools, homes, hospitals, work places, government...everywhere.

 

Umm, no thanks, not in MY country. If you want your kid to pray in school, then send him or her to a private school. Oh, that's right, private schools cost the same as college, at least they did back in the 70s when I was sent to them. So, the wealthy members of our country who want their kids to pray in school are the ones who can do it, but those people don't really send their kids to school to "pray", they send them there because they think their kids are  getting a better education. (which is another load of crap I won't get into) .  Children need to be in school to learn, to  be educated, to form relationships with real people, their peers and the adult mentors. School is to teach kids to prepare for LIFE. Prayer does not help kids prepare for LIFE (yes, I know Christians will strongly disagree with me on this, but, that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it). Kids should NOT be in school  to pray. What will kids pray for? Pray to pass the test? Pray that they didn't accidentally get pregnant? Pray that their mom's cancer will go into remission? Pray for money, the next video game, their secret crush to like them? Pray that the person in their family who died in a car accident didn't really die? Prayer is for the family, for home, for Sunday school or Saturday night or whenever people of faith decide to go worship. Keep it OUT of public schools.

i am 43 and i have seen the downfall of the school position.

children have no respect for the teachers that have given up thier time to teach.

Students are given "time to reflect" or for "silent thought", which can already be used for prayer. It's up to the student. So, for some, there already IS prayer...

Prayer in public schools should ONLY be at the option of the students.  Honestly.  Who decides which deity our children are going to be forced to pray to?  Are you going to tell a Muslim to pray to Jesus?  Are you going to tell a Jew to pray to Mohommad?   Are you going to tell an atheist to pray at all?  I do agree students should be FREE to pray if they choose, but I will disagree to my dying breath with anyone who tells my child she HAS to pray.
