One of the advantages of being Canadian is that our film and TV industry makes some really good television shows.  One was the "Queen of Swords."  It was an old fashioned adventure television show but all the actors were great, Tessie Santiago as Maria Theresa Alverez who battled the evil governor of a remote Spanish Colony, Colonel Montoya (menacingly played by Valentine Pelka).  And Peter Wingfield as Doctor Helm who helped the poor and distained Maria Therasa Alverez as being one of the aristocrats, nor was he sure about the Queen of Swords who he thought to be a common bandit but also saw that she fought for justice for the exploited poor people of the colony.  It's been eight years since "The Queen of Swords" has been on television, but the Canadian network Showcase just started running it again.  This was a good show, a good Canadian show made by a Canadian company.   It had a large fan base overseas but was cancelled because of a legal dispute with owners of the "Zorro" trademark.  The show's fans deserve to have this small piece of of Canadiana preserved on DVD so we can see the Tessie Santiago who did a great job of playing the Queen of Swords fight for those who can not fight back!  Made by Fireworks Entertainment.  We want Fireworks to put the "Queen of Swords" on DVD.  http://www.imdb.com/company/co0040305/
