i feel sorry for mccain, bush pretty much ruinrd for him. and then choosing palin. that woman really needs to shut up. bad move for mccain i will vote for obama Submitted by Shirley S. on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 22:01
Palin embarassing???? Why??? I'm very much a woman and I certainly do not find her embarassing. Some people just look for bad things in strange places. If you don't llike her thats one thing, but just say it. You are going to be crying if Obama gets in and your pocket book is empty. He has too many relationships with too many people of questionable backgrounds, If Obama gets in we will no doubt have a socialist government. too bad.. Submitted by jennifer g. on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 22:05
our pocket books are already empty shirley. the goverment is already envolved in just about everything we do. how much worse can it get Submitted by Damian N. on Sun, 10/12/2008 - 23:23
Very much so Jennifer. Most people in this country even the very poor do not know what it would be like. Giving a socialist control of not only our executive branch but the legislative as well. Which is what you will be doing with dems in both branchs. Look at history and socializm. look at china, cuba, etc. The more responabilitys you give to the goverment, to make choices for you and take care of you. instead of you doing it yourself the more rights, control, and vioce you loose. Nobama will be the end of america and the people will happily give it to him, because of the fear and the disinformation given by the power hungery media and sepecial interests and the hate fire fanning community organizations, like the ones Nobama represented. Sen. McCain should drop the "my friends" line. It's annoying and patronizing. As a woman, I find Palin embarassing. YIKES!!! Submitted by Elizabeth T. on Thu, 10/23/2008 - 23:50
As a woman, I find Palin inspirational and a strong, likable woman. Submitted by Lynda C. on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 16:53
Since there were several comments regarding John McCain and socialism I thought I would provide a link that casts some clear concern regarding Barak Obama's socialist connections in Illinois. http://www.freere public.com/focus/f-news... Submitted by Shirley S. on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 04:13
No not Mc Cain in the White House...Obama in the White House with all his companions..Ayes, Wright,Etc. Obama is the only person I know who can sit in church for 20 years and never hear a thing!! And then expect you to believe it!! Only denounces him when he knows the American people are not going for it !! and of course he didn't have any thing to do with Acorn eitherl...Rather a doddering old fool than an inexperenced lier!!All Obamas is experienced Submitted by carolyn m. on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 00:28
You all voted for Bush not once but two times!!! Now, anyone that votes for Mcain is barking up the same tree.Whats wrong with you people. Didnt you see Mcain during the debate ?? Rambling and rambling on like a doddering old fool!! Is that who you want as you,re commander in chief? Submitted by Shirley S. on Thu, 10/09/2008 - 00:25
When some one says "Sung like a stool pigeon" you know that person has never knew what true war was all about. Pretty SICK talk about a true american hero who fought so you would have "free peach"to "down grade him and all of the other true heros. I think also that you think salaries go up in time,, but gas, mortages and everything else stays the same. Also your man of the hour Clinton had our #1 enemy in his sites, not once, but 3 times and allowed him to walk free. Perhaphs if he had taken action then we wouldn,t be in a war now. Look a little at your history and use a little good sense. It is easy to call names, but it would be interesting to see what you would have done in the same situtation. Only name callers are true cowards!!!! I don't think most people reading your remarks would take the time out of their day to answer as you are a proven fool. I see that some people posting on here have no common sence, so first of all lets talk about mortgages. Lets see one of the contributing facts to forclosure increase........gas. When Clinton left the white house, gas was $1.89/gal. The average homeowner's mortgage is between $750-$1,200.00/mo. The average family when Clinton was in the white house spent $200.00-400.00 a month on gas. They could afford a mortgage which is why Clinton had those banks ok and secure loans. Now, with gas being $4.00-$5.00 a flippin gallon, people are having to make choices.....pay for gas and not buy groceries and not pay for your house, or pay for your house and not be able to have gas to get to work. A once stable home is now shken with financial grief. Also, one more thing. I am not too keen on McCain's "military stratagies" when he himself sung like a stool pigeon when he was cought and put in a POW camp. sorry, just think thats cowardly. PS people......every politician lies. Submitted by Lynda C. on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 01:27
Well gee Jessica, why don't you have someone hang you from a ceiling for a few days and let's see how brave you are. Submitted by Rashel S. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 23:23
I am leaning towards McCain, I trust his military strategy as well as his foreign policy. Obama is a lot of talk and really isn't saying anything new. He is saying the same things that Dem. preach every four years. Obama is an ear tickler says what people want to hear and we being stupid fall for it, we Americans need to wise up and stop letting politicians, tickle our ears and demand the things we want and need. We know what needs to be done we common Americans live the hardships day in and day out. McCain has the experience to run a country and I trust that he will get us out of this hard economic times that we find ourselves in these days. Submitted by Jessica P. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 23:14
If McCain would take a minute to focus on the topics and just tell the people what he plans to do instead of bashing Obama, maybe Obama wouldn't have had to take up so much of his time defending himself. Obama spent so much time trying to clean up McCain's mouth vommit, that he really didn't get to focus on the issues like he wanted to. He had to address what McCain was saying about him to let people know that it wasn't all true. McCain needs to stop with the bashing and get to the issues. Submitted by Shirley S. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 22:22
Myself, I am for Mc Cain, he doesn't have the ability to give a speech like obama, but he is not promising a lot ot things he can't delivery. Obama being a Dem. and Pelosi & her (Dem.) 10% credibility for her and the congress it will be scheer "Hell" for all of the americans if Obama makes it....watch your taxes go up & try to figure out where he is going to get all the monier for the programs he says he's going to start. The big bunch of analysis for finances this morning said there is NO WAY these can be acomplished, and these were both Dem. and Rep. speaking out in this group !! Oh well, It's like he's saying "come into my parlar....said the spider to the fly" Don't be fooled by alll the sweet talk!! Submitted by Jus N. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 20:15
I for one wish they had a "NONE OF THE ABOVE" Ballot. Everyone is saying that the ones that don't like Obama is racist. I think that Obama and his wife are racist against White Americans. I hate to see what will happen to this country if he gets elected. I have yet to see a presidential candidate that is truly out there for the people, and to make things better for the people. To me they are all full of **** and they all say what they think we want to hear, but once elected, they fulfill none of those promises. To me, if elected and you don't do what you said, you should be impeached and imprisoned for false advertisement! When elected, the "president" only does what his wealthy friends pay him to do. I can NOT believe that the bill passed to bail out the mortgage companies. To me, it is just another way to **** on the little guys. If they really wanted to do some good with all that money, they should have given back to the people, maybe if the **** prices on fuel, food, and on everything else wouldn't have sky rocketed, the American people would have been able to pay their **** bills. To me, prices just keep going up, and up, and the American people are drowning in it. Our governement only cares about the already wealthy people, screw the middle and lower classes. Screw that people that made them wealthy in the first place. Me and my husband both work full time and still have to struggle from paycheck to paycheck, and we pray that no emergencies happen, such as cars breaking down. We can't even afford health insurance or to go to the doctor. I am still waiting for a president that actually cares. Submitted by Matt L. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 17:27
AFTER WHAT MCCAIN SAID LAST NIGHT PUT THE NAIL IN THE COFFIN FOR ME. HE WANTS TO BAIL OUT THE PEOPLE WHO CANNOT PAY THEIR MORTGAGES???? SCREW THAT. THATS SOCIALISM RIGHT THERE AT ITS FINEST PEOPLE. I REALLY HOPE YOU ALL MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION AND VOTE FOR CHANGE AND GET THE DEMOCRATS IN THE WHITE HOUSE TO FIX THIS MESS THAT BUSH HAS PUT US IN. VOTE OBAMA AND DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR Submitted by Lynda C. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 18:27
Uh, the Clinton Administration insisted on granting the mortgages to those who couldn't afford them in the first place by threatening mortgage companies to issue these risky loans to minorities and low income applicants. There is blame to go around to everybody and simply voting Democratic isn't a cure all..... Check out the Democrats yourself and watch Maxine Waters, Gregory Meeks, Lacy Clay and others condemn Richard Baker, Ed Royce, Armando Falcon, Christopher Shays and others for trying to impose regulations on Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae in 2004. http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=_MGT_cSi7... This isn't a twisted interview for some partisan photo op this is live debate on C-Span which has sadly become the prelude to where we are now. Submitted by John T. on Mon, 10/20/2008 - 02:18
That was a great set of C_Span clips....That iw what we should be seeing on primetime political advertising. It is actual content and not the finger pointing and reteric. I thought this one was excellent also. Once again more content..... http://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=cMnSp4qEX... Submitted by Lynda C. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 16:44
Reading all of these comments just makes me so sad about the state of our nation. I like a good fight. I think it's great to have a two, three, or six party system. It brings about conflicting ideas and when done with sincerity and in keeping with the best interests of the nation it works better than any other system of government out there. Boy! You fell for those ads, "hook line and sinker" As I stated below, those "SCARY" accusations have done exactly as McCain wanted to convince small minds that is "FACT". Rather, they were creations from a delusional mind....as is many other accusations. Either the guy doesn't have the intelligence to know what is the truth and what is a lie OR he is convinced that America is made up of only small minded people that will not question the crap they are being fed. Submitted by Lynda C. on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 01:23
Well Steve, here are a few quotes from Democrat and former counsel to President Clinton: "Anybody who knows anything about Washington knows that if there is one senator who will not honor the requests of his friends when it comes to various pieces of legislation, it is John McCain. Some of the people that I know very well who are lobbyists, Republican lobbyists, will tell me, and they will tell anybody who asks, McCain calls it the way he sees it on the merits. You can be his friend for 25 years and if he doesn’t agree with it, he’ll say no." ... and "...if there is one thing I am absolutely confident of, it is John McCain is an honest man..." These were taken from a transcript of the Hannity and Colmes show - so I suppose it won't count with most because after all, it is a Fox show. Submitted by Lynda C. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 18:30
I didn't fall for any ad, I took the time to research it on my own.....Follow the stinky trail yourself. Submitted by Nora W. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 19:12
3 out of 4 of your links don't work, and the one that does talks about Obama's friendship with a Pakistani. Yoe seem to be racist in including this link. Did you forget that Pakistan was according to Bush, one of our greatest friends in his so-called War on Terrorism? I think the "stinky trail" leads from Fox News to the ears of people like you. Submitted by Lynda C. on Wed, 10/08/2008 - 19:52
All the links work, you just need to remove the semicolon from the end and then refresh the page. My fault for putting them there, sorry. Please don't bring up the tired issue of racism. The point is the character of the person and his association with Obama. Supposedly Obama was done with his drugging by the time he attended Columbia so it just seems odd that he would choose to live with a marijuana smoking, cocaine snorting roomate? It is a legitimate question. Submitted by Kate T. on Thu, 10/09/2008 - 00:03
These issues get addressed over and over and over and McCain supporters keep bringing them up and muddying the waters. What about Palin's questionable thoughts about our current war being a "task from God?" Okay, so when did the United States become its own religion and carry some sort of religious flag into battle? Calling a war such as this a "task from God" is not a separation of church and state. It disturbs me that suddenly people in America are counting Muslim people as "enemies." All of them? Really? Do you even know anything about the Islamic religion? As for character or addressing the issues goes...why is it that McCain feels it is more important to actively assasinate Obama's character than to actually address the issues with better explanations of what he would do if elected? What does that say about HIS character? Loading People... |
