Issue:

Now that Alex Rodriguez has opted out of his contract with the Yankees and become a free agent, will the Red Sox finally obtain the player they lusted for more than three years ago?

Belief:

Red Sox fans want to keep Lowell.  But 34 year old Lowell, who made $9 million this year plus a $500,000 bonus for his Series MVP award, figures to get a hefty raise. The Yankees were prepared to offer $26 million to $28 million a year for five years to A-Rod, creating an eight-year deal for perhaps $231 million.

What self-respecting Red Sox fan would want their team poisoned with A-Rod? Yuck. Lowell all the way.

We can't lose Lowell. He is a class act and he belongs with the Sox!! I would miss him terribly. I was mad at Johnny Damon when he left,but that was nothing compared to how I will fell if Mike leaves!! Hey Theo give the guy what he wants and deserves!!
