There is one planet and we have to live on it. So I encourage everyone to do anything they can to help prevent global warming by the examples given on this page. If we want to live a long and safe life, then let's start saving the world.

Global Warming is left wing propaganda. Don't buy into it. Green Policies will ruin the economy. It's a natural process. And "An Inconvenient Truth" has flawed research from someone who still whines after being fairly defeated. If you wanna live like cavemen, be my guest.

Global warming could be a natural phenomenon but it s highly increasing since industrialisation ! I agree that mother Earth will always find a way to save life, like it always was the case millions years before.So governments should pay attention, it s our only house and she's burning !! let s act now !!

Leave your car in favour of locomotive. Better still go for electric car. For short distances hop on a bicycle. that would bring double benefit, health to the rider and health to the globe. Anyway, the fossil fuel is not going to last for eternity. The scientists should scratch their head and go for cheaper and viable technology to harness Sun's energy, which is the only way out to survive and save the ground beneath us.

They have proof about global warming Zach you idiot and you see in four years the stars will be alligned causing it to be hotter our ice caps will melt and our ocean level will rise so while your destroying our earth people will be dying and it is not just the government because all countries are aware of it a lot are doing stuff to stop global warming but not America because of people like YOU so stop and look at what is happening.

Global warming is only a theory. It is a theory that the government uses to try and get people worried and behind the government. It is a Democratic strategy. Republicans on the other hand do not support the global warming campaign because they don't want the government to have any more power among the people. Global warming, if anyone reads about history in the early 1000's to 1400's. Places like England and Ireland, which are very temperate climates today and do not have a large amount of agriculture were able to grow grapes, a more tropical fruit. This shows that from then till the now, the climate has always been changing, because let me tell you, I have been to England and Ireland, and there are no grapes or anything like that. It's a shift over 1500 or so years, not because we have increased CO2 levels.

We do as much as we can, but I know we could do more. We have got to do our part because our world is suffering so much. Have any of you seen the documentary about how the North Pole is melting faster and faster? TiVo the subject if you haven't. And that's just ONE example!

What about H2S Hydrogen Sulfide, have you been by any landfills lately? Rice patty fields, farms, methane can kill in heavy concentrations, Worse yet H2S. 4 people in Wisconsin recnetly died beacuase of H2S what can we do?

It's truly a shame how gullible the majority of the world is that they really think cars and factories are changing the world's environment. Like Kieth W. says below, there is a HUGE amount of money to be made from these lies. On a sidenote I used to think the Nobel Prize was something of importance until Al Gore won it for his movie...Keith, it's nice to see I'm not the only sane person out there because sometimes I sure wonder.

Next is Methane, farted out by cattle to the extent of some 45,000,000 tons per annum; it is about 20 times as effective as CO2.  The grand total of "man-made" CO2 is only 3.5% of the whole, animals breething provides a big lot too.  A very big BUT however, there is very big money to be made all over the world by CO2 propaganda.

I do not think that any harm will come to the planet from this scam, but global warming inevitable due to increased solar activity as anyone can see from a brief glance at the sun.  No matter what mankind does, global warming is inevitable; we would be far better off in preparing for it.; we most certainly cannot do anything to prevent it.

All through the life of the planet, highest amounts of CO2 come about 800 years AFTER a perfectly natural global warming.

One thing that I have found that even they are expensive it's good to replace all the lightbulbs in your house with low wattage.  It is pretty expensive, but it's a one time expense.  Your electricity bill will be significally reduced and the new bulbs last forever.  You don't have to change them.  Well at least I haven't had to change one yet and it's more than two years.  Light bulbs are difficult to recycle and since they don't have to be replaced long lasting bulbs also helps reduce wasteage of materials or natural resources

ARG, hi, im 15, and yeah, i live in a small city, and we already have alot of green house gases because of irving, and they're building a new one, it pisses me off so bad, cant they see how they're doing something bad? If you guys read uglies/pretties/specials, they're in the world where they live after us, and we dies because we were all so stupid, and we were destorying th planet, well, im sarting t think thats actually what we're doing. Read the book from Al Gore(LOVE HIM!!!) and you'll know what i mean...ppl getting killed by heat and stuff, and all the refinery can do about it is make more trouble, cant believe them!

its difficult but i pray people wake up n work up since theres nothin left to think for an action

I've been living in Scandinavia (Sweden) where recycling, lower gas emissions, responsible logging (by regularly planting new trees in place of those taken down), etc. have been a way of life for a very long time now. It's just unfortunate that the European efforts to globalize cooperation against global warming have been met with resistance from other nations who are some of the world's largest polluters. I just hope that these countries, specially the superpowers, realize that no amount of military,  technological, and economic superiority can stop the eventual onslaught of Nature when it strikes back in accordance with how poorly we have treated it. For we may suddenly find out that we humans are not at the top of the food chain after all.....
