Description:

HI MY NAME IS NATHAN, I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO WRITE THIS PETITION FOR A VERY LONG TIME. I AM A 15 YEAR OLD BOY LIVING IN HONG KONG. I GO TO AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, WHERE KIDS FROM EVERY RACE NATIONALITY AND CULTURE ARE FRIENDS. YET FOR SOME REASON I FEEL AS THOUGH NOT ONLY IN MY SCHOOL BUT IN SCHOOL ACROSS THE WORLD CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EXPRESS WHATS ON THEIR MINDS DURING LESSONS. I HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF TEACHERS THIS YEAR THAT HAVE BEEN DISGUSTINGLY BAD, BOTH EDUCATIONALY AND RELATIONSHIP WISE. THEY DID NOT CARE ABOUT OUR LESSONS OR WHAT WE THOUGHT. BUT WHEN IT CAME TO REPORTS AND EVERYONE WAS FAILING THE STUDENTS WERE BLAMED AND NOT THE TEACHES.

I AM WRITIN THIS PETITON TO GET PEOPLE ACROSS THE WORLD TOGETHER AND AGREE THAT JUST BECAUSE WE ARE NOT ADULTS DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE IDIOTS. WE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SAY WHEN A TEACHER DOES WRONG, THEY DO SO WITH US SO WHY SHOULDNT WE BE ABLE TO WITH THEM>

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION.

I totally agree, I had terrible teacher experience in science. The teacher was really insulting when he told us off for the smallest things such as having your back turned, and he was putting himself down aswell whilst teaching us. I didn't learn a thing.

I am an adult and taught school for 28 yrs., most of which was great. I had an awful English teacher in the 7th grade. She was mean to me from the first day of school. That being said, I learned a lot from that woman--how not to treat my students. I have cried over students, bought lunches, bought Christmas presents and other stuff because I loved them and wanted to do these things. Over the years though I saw kids get more rude and mean and disrespectful--not just to their classmates but to parents and other adults. The day a smart-aleck kid told me he didn't have to do his work and called me a m-f b---- I said forget it, I have had enough. The school lost a good, caring teacher. If you have a bad teacher, talk to your parents or maybe another teacher you trust. In life you are not going to like everyone and everyone is not going to like you. A bit of advice from a teacher--do your work without whining and if you have an issue with the teacher , be respectful. At school you really do have to do work and the whining gets old real quick. Also parents, don't automatically believe your child. I have had students tell me their parents believe everything they say so they just lie to them.

I'm 13 and my english teacher is mean, and he agrees about it! but he acts mean still. We had to turn in a paper that counted for half our grade. He made us all put it on the desk, if it wasn't on the desk when he was there, you got a zero :(. I couldn't find mine so i looked in my binder and found it, but he just pasted me. i asked him if he got my paper, he said no, it wasnt on the desk when i was there. i just said i had it when you where right next to me!. I got a zero and started failing :( i got grounded for a month and half. and he gave me bruses on my legs, too. (he started kicking me cuz i was playing around with him.)

Everyone has issues with at least one teacher is his/her life. I had a teacher in high school once say that our textbook was wrong & he was right. He got mad that we were all confused & didn't know what was going on. How were we supposed to know? I know not all teachers are bad but some are.

IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH A TEACHER TELL MOM AND DAD AND LET THEM TALK TO HER OR HIM. FOR YOU TO CONFRONT HER WOULD BE DISREPECTFUL.

I must say that i totally dissagree with everything that you guys are saying. Teachers are here to help us and they DO care about how we are doing in our education. Tanz is full of Bull.

i'm seventeen and at sixth form in the uk. yes i do feel like the teachers in my school are thinking that us, as students, are bull and yes we do need more freedom to speak!!

I am an adult and I agree if teachers are wrong they should know the same. They tend to let the kids know in a heart beat. Kids need more rights to speak. It is in the constitution, first amendment.

I'm 14 living in Malaysia, and i think teachers in my school don't even care about us at all!my mathematics teacher don't know how to speak english.huh??it's hard to understand what he said:(

I'm 15 living in the US, and I think taht teachers should actually give a care about us. My geography teacher last year (mr. pritchett) didn't care at all, and he didn't help and he called us dumb. My 2nd grade teacher practically HATED me, she adored the teachers pet and tried to fail me out of 2nd grade. Luckily my first grade teacher was at better odds with the principle. I think that if teachers don't care, they should get a new job and LEAVE US TEENS ALONE!!!

this is america and we should have our rights!!!

I think you are mostly correct, however, I would suggest that you utilize "spell check" prior to writing something like "BECAUSE WE ARE NOT ADULTS DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE IDIOTS". Granted...spelling mistakes does not make you an "idiot" but, it does not aid in validating your opinion.

As a mother of two teen girls I agree. One of their teachers tells them they are stupid. Says they will only be able to work at Mcdonalds. Teachers should think before they open their mouths. There should be consequences for their actions too.

I've seen this happen so many times. When an entire class is failing, it is always the teacher's fault--clearly what they are doing is not working. I have had my share of great teachers and awful teachers. All students can learn at least something from great teachers; however, the students in the awful teachers' classrooms must be motivated, self-learners or fail. It's so sad. And teacher unions prevent awful teachers from being terminated and replaced by a better teach and force our children to suffer for the sake of an awful teacher's badly chosen career.
