Issue:

You want to keep your online social-networking profiles but worry they may compromise your job or job search if employers look you up online.

Belief:

Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist created a stir with her MySpace page, where at one time anyone could see photos of her on one of the town's fire engines, clad only in a black bra and panties.  Now only her friends have access to the page, but some people in this eastern Oregon community of about 500 are still upset and want her to resign.

A web page is a form of self expression. Certainly if Mayor Kontur-Gronquist was willing to pose on the fire truck in her undies, and then posted it to her myspace page, she had to expect (want) others to see it. So they did. Whether it causes trouble for her is the result of her decision, no one else's.
