She is also irresponsible to bring a damaged child into this world, which yours and my tax dollars, remember senitors, vp, governor have free health care. This woman also wants to ban all abortions. I just do not understand what these reporters are thinking. How many lives have been distroyed by bringing an unwanted life into this world. The girls first and foremost, because it is her body...if she keeps the child, how many times do the fathers' actually step up, and if they do will they resent the mother and child. How many children have to quit school to support the child. The whole cycle of poverity thing. In addition, didn't she ever teach her own child about birth control....duh, what kind of responsible parent in this day and age allows their child to get pregnate and then brag about in on world wide television. This is the want to be second in command??? If you can not even govern your own family, how can you govern a nation???? Finally what kind of person tries to force their beliefs on others "Oh, I'm a good Christin girl" like the line in the movie goes why can't the jews and the arabs be more christen. In principle I agree with your comment that no one is really "ready" to assume the office of President but I do think that we should look somewhere in the candidates background for some signs of serious life accomplishments. The women I cite on www.vpCaribouBarbie.com as alternatives: Carly Fiorina, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Meg Whitman (two Republicans and one Democrat) all have SERIOUS educations and backgrounds. Obama has a very serious education, an inspirational background (even though arguably a bit light in experience at the top when compared to the likes of the aforementioned three women) and is clearly intellectually capable. He seems to show a more level headed, cool decision making capability than the impulsive, hot headed McCain does. So while Obama may not be perfect (no candidate is) he and Biden show the right combination of serious education and backgrounds combined with the ability to render tempered, thoughtful, reasoned judgments. You may be comfortable with four more year of gun ho cowboy diplomacy backed by voices our leaders "hear" from God but personally I'm looking for more the CEO rational type for the next term.
I will say first and foremost that I am a Christian and that I am voting for Obama. It doesn't have anything to do with whether or not Palin is a woman or not...it has to do with the fact that she is far from qualified. Do you honestly want to run the risk of her becoming president one day? She can't even run her own family, let alone our country, and that is not meant in a mean way. She definitely needs our prayers. She, along with her husband, have even wanted Alaska to succeed from the USA. Obama IS a good man and is qualified. He won't even say anything bad about Palin. We need to get our country back on track. Let's forget if we are Democrats or Republicans.....we just cannot justify 4 more years of Bush type politics that McCain wants to further along.I don't think that McCain is a bad man...I just think he is out-of-touch with the average American. We had a monetary surplus when Bush first came into office, and now our country has borrowed money from other countries. Our economic status is due to poor planning by the Bush administration. McCain and Palin can't get us out of a recession if they continue on with Bush type politics. Not all Christians are fooled by what Bush has done to our country. The Bible says many "will come in my name" and that "there will be wolves in sheeps clothing". Let's not continue poor politics and disinterest in the real Americans that make up this country...the average man and woman who is out there trying to make a real living for their family and getting further and further behind. These big oil men have no idea what its like. They are among the top 1 or 2% in this nation who are more interested in taking care of BIG BUSINESS and NOT the business of the average American.
