I watched it and got got other people to watch it and continue to record every show.. I told everyone I know .. How dose HBO keep track of how many people veiw the show I wonder?  Sometimes I would record the show and have people over my house to sit down and watch it with me.. Some poeple just needed to know a little more about the show to watch it, and they were hooked..We loved it!!!!

 

Its funny reading that article by Cnn.com, because they use all the references of critiques that were from the beginning of the season,, when the critiques clearly did not open there minds to something new, or watch any further espisodes for that matter.  I feel bad for them, they wrote it off from the beginning,, never has a show (episode 3) made me feel such warmth and fuzzeys and feelings i had once felt before when shawney yost hits the pipe after breaking his neck.  The song at the end of the episode especially along with the emotions going on in that episode will be my favorite memory.  The song being "feeling Good" redone by some artist i don't know, comes from quantic soul orchestra (dont know which came first egg or the chicken so sorry if i'm wrong).  If you listen to the lyrics its right in front of your face, reconciliation...... "its a new dawn, its a new light, its a new day, and i'm feelin good"   thats what this show did for viewers, no matter how bad the reviews, they got this one wrong, the way fox got arrested development wrong and its a shame that in that cnn article that they said there was tough competition from other new summer series on network television??? whats with that,  i never even heard of those and i watch alot of tv.  John was the pimp.... HBO, feel bad for you.. you crumbled under pressure.. btw sopranos was only good during the clinton administration.  and carnival,, was the bomb. and you know what really sucks, is that you probably let down so many people that believe in HBO for good quality television,, its books put to film and thats what you used to do.  I can't imagine all the people that have been let down by this. Someones but should get fired for this one.  Maybe david milch should work without HBO, if there gonna keep dickin around with him like that. anyways, my 2 cents,, hope i didn't affend anyone,, and i rarely protest a tv show.,,, but i can honestly say the world could have learned alot about that show and relationships between human beings and how we seem to have lost focus as a society and societal goals..... like sustainability and caring about each other.

Our dentist recommended JFC to us - now my husband and I are both addicted to it!  We've introduced several friends to it through HBO ON DEMAND, and now it's even being removed from that.  Here we are, stuck in Michigan, and I had hoped that thoughts of a second season of JFC would help get me throught the winter!

just too many questions to stop now, just need one episode of explanation, then i'll be satisfied. and they better not touch flight of the conchords.

Yeah, so it is a little weird... that's the charm in a show like this.  I'm so disappointed in the cancellation of this series, coming right on the heels of the cancellation of Deadwood.  Hopefully this reaches the execs at HBO, because I am not only about to boycott any new series HBO puts out, but am on a tightrope as to whether I will cancel my HBO subcription altogether.  The network has absolutely no respect for their viewers cancelling a show without allowing the creators to "end" it properly. 

This show is absolutely amazing.

The cast is outstanding, I LOVE every episode!

For HBO to cancel this exciting, unique program is very LAME.

What's the point of even introducing a cool new program like this...keep you hanging with EVERY episode...and then just cancel... (??)! Like, what the f**k else is there on T.V. - Reality Shows (that aren't real at all)... a hundred cooking shows ...a guy that talks to Dogs....!!!! (??)

This series was one of the first times i was hooked instantly.
It is surrounded with mystery, not weird, and know 50+ other people in my city who think the same. It is the best show on HBO Period!!!!!!!!!! IF HBO IS SO LAME THAT THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS AND BLUE BALL EM!!!!!! It is a shame that all the thinking persons television shows get cancelled and the no brainer shows keep coming back. Fake reality shows, no talent Idol shows, Celebrity dancing?? Who cares. What more garbage and idiotic sitcom babble must we endure. John From Cincinati made be crude but it closer to reality as far as disfunctional families go that the little bimbo's and jock whatabees on the so called reality shows. I like having to follow multiple story lines and figure the mystery. Please bring back JFC. The only reason I subscribed to HBO was for The Sopranos, I tried JFC and liked it as a replacement and got hooked. If you don't bring it back I am cancelling HBO.

I'm sick of this crap....the only programs worth watching are the HBO and SHOWTIME series....it's the only reason I pay (too much) for them.

I was enjoying John From Cincinnati a lot!  I recorded all the shows on my DVR and would look forward to watching them. I watched some episodes twice.  What a dissappointment to hear the show will not be continuing. Bring back JFC! It was one of the best shows on T.V. in a long time.  I am a 40 year old mother of two and I thought that show was smart, funny, well written, well acted and shot beautifully.
