Bears are fearless animals,that's why so many get killed each year. Bears are very curious animals and not understood,due to clear cutting of Economy,Nova Scotia's forest's,bears will travel for days to find food,the lumbermen out here,get hunting licenses just to kill them,to keep them out of their blueberry fields,and are clearing raspberry plants,and the lush fields of grass are now being used for farming there is no need for one person ,or farmer-lumber to not share with the bear ,we are destroying their habitat,and causing environmental concerns for generations to come not to mention the poor bears,some people can be very ignorant when it comes to wild-life you do not feed bears, try to make them  pets,or try to tame them,if you do confront one ,which I have you find shelter in an old car,don't run because they take you as prey then ,they won't eat you,because they are mostly plant eaters,some do eat fish,the polar bears,eat seal,fish, the grizzly,they love fish and plants, the black bear,eats,fruit,nuts,herbs,pine nuts,beechnuts,hazelnuts,grasses,sedges,shoots,and other high-protein lush green vegetation ,in spring corn is one of its favorite food where it can be found . Bears will feed on garbage,campground or bait shelters ,bears are a mountain animal,they love to stay by their den,or off in the deep wooded areas but with people not sharing the land ,we have seen them out our door up on the hill ,people need to share this land ,with the animals,and respect is a big factor!!!!
