Sharks need to be protected everywhere, they live in the sea and if you choose to swim/surf etc in known shark areas then as unfortunate as it may be to get attacked you cannot blame the sharks. Stay out of the water and leave them alone. Also ban cage diving, your putting people in there environment and food path and its only going to make them more interested in humans.
I want to start an active conservation for sharks. I'm a sixteen year old junior who has watched a video on sharks and how they're being poached by the hundreds just for their fins. They're being brutally mutilated while still alive, and that must stop. Even the gentle whale shark is a victim of this marine slaughter, and it only feeds on microscopic organisms. Fact- Soda machines kill more people each year than sharks.

People doesn't understand that we are animals too, that is the main problem.
