Say NO to National ID CardForum Discussion for Say NO to National ID Card Submitted by Airplane Daddy A. at MySpace on Fri, 07/18/2008 - 12:14
About the criminals thing...ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS LEAVE THE **** THING AT HOME AND THERES NO WAY TO TRACK THEM!!! And to the redneck with the illegal comment, IT'S NOT LIKE THE **** GOVT WILL BE ABLE TO TRACK THEM BETTER!!! THEY WON'T HAVE THE REAL ID!!! The whole thing is ****. I am an American Soldier. I certainly have nothing to hide. My Job is to protect FREEDOM. And this real ID would be an infringement on our civil rights. WE ARE GIVING UP OUR FREEDOM IN THE NAME OF SAFETY! Don't you people see what's wrong with that? This is AMERICA! We were founded upon the idea GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!!! And dammit that's what I'm still screaming! Quit giving up our rights because your scared of the big bad terrorists and stand up for your damned selves!!! This kind of thing can't be allowed to happen! It can't continue like this. I don't know about you, but I want my rights back! Submitted by amy w. on Sat, 06/21/2008 - 19:44

MichaelR(B.B.B.09)please mister president take all the freedoms from me you want i wouild much rather live like they do in saudi arabia where your good friends rule where you dont have to worry about rights becuose the government will imprison and torture anyone they have to to keep you safe.even if its you.but hey we can still call ourselves america right?Over dramatic?sure but think about it a minut.allowing people to be free is dangerous and risky.fighting for freedom means not giving up our rights or our morals espiecialy when you have good reason to be afraid.thats what that line"home of the brave"means. NO to National ID Card. I have heard too many negative things about it. I don't want all my freedom taken away. It's a bunch of whooey when the gov't. has to fall back on preventing terroism and illegal immigrants from entering this country. Ever since 9/11 and the effects felt because of it, I've done more researching and I don't like what I find. Laura H. Submitted by Vince V. on Sun, 04/06/2008 - 14:48
Can you say "Big Brother" ? Ok, maybe it's not that bad..... Oh... wait.... we are practically there, already, are'nt we. Sigh... It's really not about having anything to hide, as someone previously posted. It is however about all the programs We as tax payers have voted in, and already pay for, that are NOT enforced. We do not need another bureaucracy, we need action on what is in place. Besides do you really think that having an all inclusive national ID will quell the movement of lawbreakers!?! How naive of you, come on now. Only Corporate America (nothing against all of C.A. mind you) will benefit from all the $ales of the things needed to put this idea into place and then maintain it. Be responsible and take a look at your own states laws and what is in legislation, there is a lot of great things proposed to take care of our security and of course some not so good, but there is people already working on things, again what about the laws already in place?? Get YOUR opinion out there at your own state level to have your local government agency use what is in place! Hey, just an opinion here, but seriously, think about it, do we really want another obstacle in our everyday life, have'nt We The People, bowed down enough to the bad guy's whoever they are, who, don't you think enjoy it every time we end up restricting Ourselves because of Them!?! Think about it.... Have a Good Day. Submitted by tammy w. on Tue, 04/01/2008 - 21:33
having one id across America would also make it harder for criminals to move and not get caught for years and make it easier to identify them. I asy heck yes to federal id program. Submitted by Josie H. on Sat, 03/15/2008 - 06:16
I really think it sucks cause we the people don't have a say in anything anymore. You can't do this or that or whatever. It's a shame. The goverment is doing things backwards instead od foreward. Submitted by walter m. on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 00:20
IF YOU ARE A REAL AMERICAN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. ILLEGALS COST US 3 TRILLIAN WITH THE UNDER GROUD ECONAMY. IF YOU ARE ILLEGAL THEN I SEE WHY YOU ARE WORRYED. SO THANK GOD FOR THE REAL ID ACT . I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE... DO YOU???? Submitted by mike b. on Sat, 03/08/2008 - 23:42

William Wallace wouldn't have let this happen. They may take my picture, and all my information, BUT THEY WILL NEVER TAKE MY FREEDOM!!!!! Actually they'll probably take that too. Sigh .... Submitted by barb d. on Fri, 03/14/2008 - 01:39
I think we have lost freedoms already. We are not allowed to speak the truth in this country. I wrote to the local paper and I couldn't get my letter published. The rich run the papers and the media in most cases. They only want their views to get out which are not always accurate. It's a shame that we're not allowed to all voice an opinion. Let everyone hear all sides. Our soldiers in Iraq lost their freedom once they joined the war. I think when the soldiers realize the wrong our country does over then many then want out but, our good old USA will not allow that to happen. They don't want us to know the terrible senseless killing that goes on over there. No wonder they don't want us there! We need to fight our government and stick together if we want freedom! Sending support from Scotland.... No to ID'S we are adopting the same attitudes here. I am totally against this move and our freedoms and liberties. So sick of this big brother and untrusting attitude that is being formed. Submitted by Omni S. on Thu, 02/21/2008 - 16:25
In a way its a good idea but then for those people who it will effect it really sucks. It could be any of us. So we can drive a car but not board a plane because were not up to standards? I dont think this will be a good thing. It seems it will cause more problems then good.... Loading People... |
