why not both? Liberty. we have already. Security. we have already. We have homeland security, national security, policing. yes i agree the security is not as good as it should be, but we have it none the less.

The only purpose of government is to enact force to secure our rights. That is, self-defence is the only right the government has because it is the only right that is delegated to it by us.

Liberty. Hands down. To paraphrase Ben Franklin: a person (or gov't) that is willing to give up liberty for a little security, deserves neither liberty nor security.
