Should 'New Moon' (film) show more Edward??

Hello fellow Twilighters! As you're probably aware, Chris Weitz has taken over direction of 'New Moon', the second film adaption from the Twilight Saga... I'm sure he'll do a great job, but rumours have been swirling that the Twilight movie team is planning to ditch the long period of Edward's absence from the story and work him in all the way through the movie. This is, apparently, to appease the die-hard Edward fans out there, but I am totally & utterly in love with Edward and I personally would be kinda pissed if they changed the storyline so drastically. I think they should stick 2 the book as much as possible, but if u don't feel the same way that's cool as well. Anyhow, here is where u can vote it out: should Edward be worked into the middle part of the film - excluding flashbacks coz they're kinda implied in the book - even though he is absent for that part in the book?

i think that they should stick with the book i mean i love edward but let acob have his time to shine just for a little bit.

im glad people are putting forward their opinions.. its important that the moviemakers know what the fans want. keep 'em coming!

I think, if anything, there is more of bella and edward than anyone else. I love the way stephanie wrote the books and everyone in them has their big moment sometime within the 4 books. To put more of edward in the books would shift the 'balance of power'. Midnight Sun is supposed to be about Edward anyway. Leave Twilight for the general telling.

I would love more Edward who wouldn't, but it should remain the way Stephenie wrote the book.

As long as they follow Stephenie's story line I'll be happy. The only thing I can think of to add him in is to show some of his tracking botchery. But because there is so much to each of the books already there probably not enought time for even that....
