As all Supernatural fans know we have our season 5! That means another year packed with our Winchesters fighting the forces of evil and saving the world from the Apocalypse, it also means that there will be many awesome conventions and events, which I hope I'll be able to attend =)

The conventions that are organized every year around the States and in other countries is a chance for fans to get to know the actors and the brilliant minds behind the show. It's a chance for fans to ask those burning questions about their favorite characters and to get a sweet glimpse of who that person behind the character is like. So far the fan base has had the honor of meeting Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Jim Beaver, Katie Cassidy, Aldis Hodge, Smantha Smith, Alona Tal, Richard Speight Jr., Charles Malik Whitfield, Lauren Cohan, Nikki Aycox, Sterling K. Brown, Misha Collins, Chad Lindberg Fredric Lehne and the Ghostfacers ;)

I can't help but be a little disappointed with not having the pleasure of meeting/viewing Genevieve Cortese. Her character 'Ruby' was such a pivotal one in the show, and we have yet to have that chance to get to know her as an actress and a person outside the show, and as a fan I feel like I've been short changed. I understand why she might not want to go to any of the conventions, seeing how hostile a lot of the fans can get when it comes to her and her character. But there are a lot of fans (including myself) who would love to meet her and get to know her face to face and get a chance to ask her those burning questions about her character and how she felt playing that role and what she did to prepare for a certain scene. I for one would like to see her interact with the fans while on stage, I would love to watch her facial expressions as she answers those questions, as she laughs at a silly remark. Reading her interviews is great and I did get to know her just a little bit from the way she answered the questions presented, she sounds like a very intelligent and passionate person, but I would love to see her live, and I'm sure there are a lot of you who would as well.

So I'm starting this petition to show Genevieve Cortese that she does have fans who like her, and support her. So if you want Genevieve to come to a convention and have her own Q&A session, sign this petition. Maybe if she sees that there are many signatures and that there are fans that genuinely love her and want to get to know her, then she'll consider attending one :D So sign and tell your friends and families to sign as well and lets show Genevieve our support!!
