Description:

To the commissioners of professional sports:

We the undersigned believe you need to get a handle on creating a no win policy for the Athlete who uses performance enhancing drugs. There should be a no tolerance policy. To help build the seriousness of the infraction, put a mandatory time frame on the athlete from participating in the sport, punish the franchises through fines and possibly exclude them from participating in the playoffs and add an asterisk next to the individual and team names in the statistics for the duration of the use.  This would create a self policing form of action to assist in monitory and removing drug enhancing use. It would put all players on the hook. If there is a chance that the player may be using drugs then the players and the team will remove them from participating for fear of getting caught.

I will be sending this on to the commissioners of Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Tour de France. If you have others please put them in the comment section and I will add them. Please provide the sport and the name of the individual. If you have the email and phone that would be great.

This is simple. Not rocket science. The only difference is that it is a sport! There is a no tolerance policy for radio, and TV personalities who step over the line in what they SAY but not in what they TAKE. Why is that? Say something and you are fired TAKE something and drive, well that’s okay. Drugs seem to be the acceptable thing. It is not until people take action against the infraction that a no tolerance policy is followed. Just take what happened to Imus and Lindsey Lohan. Imus gets fired and Lindsey get less than a day in jail.
