It remains weird, that people still hide in a religion, based on a book written and made up by the Romans, whereas they were as gay aa the word gay can describe. Submitted by Jacquelyn s. on Sat, 08/09/2008 - 21:10
Joe Jonas Lover everyone is NOT the same as yo want them to be, different people are and love different things. this is called freedom. there is freedom of marriage, love, and freedom to do anything you want in the world.... Submitted by Jacquelyn s. on Sat, 08/09/2008 - 21:05
Joe Jonas Lover I BELIEVE THAT IF SOMEONES IS GAY AND WANTS TO MARRY, NO ONE SHOULD QUESTION OR JUDGE THEM....!! I AM NOT A LESBIAN MYSELF, BUT, I DO BELIEVE THAT GAYS AND LESBIANS SHOULD HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS EVERYONE ELSE AND THEY SHOULD BE TREATEDLY WITH THE SAME RESPECT AS US.....I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE, ALOT, THAT YOU SHOULD GET MARRIED AND SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIVES TOGETHER...GAY, LESBIAN, OR NOT...ITS OUR CHOICE TO CHOOSE WHO WE WANT TO LOVE. SO, REVERAND, I DISAGREE WITH YOU.....MANY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE WHO THEY ARE...IF YOUR GAY OR A LESBIAN, ITS NO HARDER FOR YOU TO STOP BEING ONE THAN YOU STOP BREATHING OR CHANGING YOUR ENTIRE SELF.... I REALLY DON'T CARE IF MY FRIENDS TURN INTO DIFFERENT PEOPLE, YOU KNOW WHY? IM NOT AT ALL MEAN TO ANYONE BUT, YOU NEED TO STOP BEING THAT WAY, I DON'T GO TO CHURCH, BUT MY NANA DOES...SHE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN GAY LOVE OR MARRIAGE, BUT I DO, IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE THAT MUCH, GO FOR IT!!! SURE, THERE WILL BE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE REST OF THE WORLD BUT SO WHAT, GO THROUGH HECK FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN AND WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, YOU WILL BE WITH EACHOTHER!!! I AM LOOKING FOR AN INTERESTING ARGUMENT FOR THIS TOPIC, HOPE YOU ARE UP TO THE CHALLENGE, BUT, MY VOTE FOR YOU TO STOP DIFFERENT MARRIAGE, I AM SAYING "NO!!" First time visitor to YouChoose.com and I wonder why the application doesn't offer an option for people oppose to certain petitions to voice their opinion. Instead of writing an argumentative comment against this pledge, I'd simply like to offer my vote, "NO." Submitted by Brandon C. on Mon, 07/07/2008 - 16:14
I agree same sex marriages are wrong and immoral! God wants all to repent and believe in Him. And He does not want any to perish. Submitted by Lulu L. on Wed, 07/09/2008 - 18:04
But not everybody in America is a Christian and/or believes what you believe. Gays and lesbians are justt like you and me: good people who have a right to marry. I don't think that your god would enjoy such intelorence. Stop Government sanctioned marriage period!!!! Submitted by Richard D. at Facebook on Fri, 06/13/2008 - 05:36
I thought this country was founded under God and he doesn't approve Submitted by Melissa G. at Facebook on Thu, 06/12/2008 - 07:31
In my own personal opinion, if the Christians (and other organized man-made religions) want to keep their sacrement of marriage all for themselves, I say so be it. What's important are the rights, LGBT persons should (and some day will) have all the same rights as everyone else in this country, because we will never back down from that fight. But part of what I don't quite get is the desire of the LGBT community to have it be "marriage." Why would you want to be involved in an institution that hates who you are and the way you live and love. I would personally be insulted if the government forced "Gay Marriage" on Churches and other places of worship. If they don't want us, I say **** 'em! (but that's me) Equality is what matters, equality in the eyes of the law. I don't want to be appeased, I want the respect I deserve as a citizen of this country and as a member of "the community" The rest is just semantics. However, that doesn't mean I will try to prevent Gay Marriage from being a reality, and lets face it, it's happening and it's gonna spread, and there isn't anything the, Conservative Christian Right can really do about that. Same sex marriage is dead WRONG! It should be just as illegal as it is immoral. I grow tired of homos and gay supporters use straw man arguments to support gay marriage. It is wrong, it will always be wrong and nothing will ever change it. God did not intend for us to marry or have sex with partners of the same sex. We already have enough problems with children having sex at too early an age, now they have to contend with homosexuals telling them it is acceptable to love someone of the same sex. It is SICK. I hope more people stand up and quit hiding and hoping someone else will take care of this problem. Stop it! We must all stand up and fight these changes that affect us all. Help keep marriage the sacred bond that it is and as God intended, between a man and a woman. Submitted by Lulu L. on Wed, 07/09/2008 - 18:12
I agree with Mr. Ray. E. Let's stop this little aegis those of you who don't support gay marriage are hiding behind: not everyone is a Christian. You said "We already have enough problems with children having sex at too early an age." that has nothing to do with gay marriage, so I must suggest that the next time you rant about a subject, you stay on it with relevent evidence to support your point. You claim that is is sick, and it's not. It's perfectly acceptable to love somebody of the same sex as well as practice sexual intercourse with them. There is nothing wrong with that. Your god may disagree with homsexuality, but he also states that all men are created equal. Isn't it about itme we, including you and the government, treat people equally? Not only does the Bible say that, but also the Constitution. And if your god hates hosmexuals, lesbians, and bisexuals so much, why did he make them and yet also claim that he loves everyone on this earth no matter what? Ok, look. I understand this section is about religion, but stop assuming everyone here is a die-hard Christian. God(Not the Christian God. A god higher than him.) may have created the world, but he gave us free will and a mind so that we could make our own decisions. Gays/Lesbians/Bisexuals are ridiculed and tormented all the time. That is sick. If your God is so loving then why can't he accept that Gays/Lesbians/Bisexuals just want to be happy? I chose to follow this God's teachings, but I'm understanding more and more every day that he is a control freak. And think of this: If God is everything and every where, then that means he's Gay, a Lesbian, and a Bisexual. All at the same time. Also, who's to say God didn't want G/L/B to have sex and get married? For all we know, the humans(Emphasis on the humans.) who wrote the Bible didn't like it and decided to just not put it in the Bible. Think in possibilities. Not enough Christians are opened minded and respectful of others and their ideals. Just live your life the way you want to and let others live their own way. Stop trying to control everything. Let people live their lives without trying to force opinions on them. Submitted by BELLA R. on Wed, 05/28/2008 - 02:31
We all know being gay is wrong and unnatural.Even if someone does not believe the Bible is the way and truth, simply view how men and women' bodies complement each other. If you are gay, know that it is a sin.i would not vote to stop any gay person from having human rights but NOT BY ANY MEANS WILL I TOLERATE GAY MARRIAGE! Everybody has the right to get married and to love! even homosexual persons ! What the hell is that racism !! MichaelR(B.B.B.09)what part of"right to life liberty and the persute of happiness"do you not understand?or how about"judge not lest ye be judged"or maybe this one will ring a bell"let him without sin cast the first stone"still you say you preach in the name of love.lier! Submitted by BELLA R. on Wed, 05/28/2008 - 02:46
I commend you for citing the Bible so well...the devil does know Biblical quotes well, doesn't he? By denying gays to marry is not judging them nor hides the fact that we are all guilty of some sin, it just stops them from polluting society's morals further. By the way, liar has an 'A" in it! Submitted by Ray E. on Thu, 06/12/2008 - 15:18
Did you really just indirectly call him the devil? Wow, didn't think Extremist would come to this site. Sorry for my ignorance. But that doesn't mean you can call someone else the devil or a devil worshiper. And yes, denying a gay man's/ lesbian girl's right to marriage is a form of judging. You're telling them that (Because they want to pursue their own right to happiness.) they're immoral and infecting society. That sounds like judging to me. As for the moral in society, what moral is left?We have so much rape and crime, adultery and sin(Ones that actually matter like Greed, Sloth, Lust.) that it can not be driven any farther into the ground then it already is. But unfortunately the only way it will go up is if everyone learns to respect each other and to truly learn the meaning of morals. And as Michael said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Stop limiting people's choices. Submitted by Aqua B. on Thu, 06/12/2008 - 15:26
No Ray, if you dont like someone of the opposite sex, you have to either get over it like a cold, become Christian and cure it like an antidote, or be alone and sad forever. Didn't you read the bible. konton=fun Submitted by Ray E. on Thu, 05/08/2008 - 13:26
What is so wrong about Gay/Lesbian marriage? Please give me a better answer than "God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve." I've heard that so many times. If you ask my opinion(Which you unofficially did), if Gay people want to be as unhappy as the rest of us, then let them. Submitted by Ray E. on Thu, 05/08/2008 - 13:42
Aqua, you can't talk. I know you personally, and you're about as much a Christian as I am. Well, I take that last part back. You're less of a Christian as I am. Submitted by Aqua B. on Thu, 05/08/2008 - 13:48
So what? I wanted to save someone the effort of saying that and you know I think you're great. Anyway, I agree with you, but my addition is that: You wouldn't like it if someone told you that just because someone wasn't in the same grade as you, you couldn't love them. What's really the difference? konton=fun Homosexual marriage has nothing to do with you. Do not limit the rights of others; have them live as they choose and you live as you choose.
