I am sick of people saying that women are less than men. I think that we need to stop sexism now before it's too late. I think that there should be a high consequence for sexism/sexist comments in public schools. If we do this, it will show children that it is wrong. If we don't act now, future generations will be dealing with the problems that sexism causes. No one else should have to suffer discrimination just because they are a woman. You hear about racism everyday. Yet do you ever hear about sexism? We need to make it known that sexism is wrong and I think that if we want to do that, we should start with school-aged children. We need to let them know that sexism is just as bad as racism. Both are situations of judging someone based on the fact that they are a certain race/gender. Please help me stop sexism while we still can. Tell the National School Boards Association that we want harsher punishments for sexist comments in public schools!

The band Our Innocence Lost has recently made sexist remarks. They were once my favorite band, but their new guitarist Tom made several sexist remarks about women and sex, and when the rest of the band supported him, I knew I couldn't continuing listening them. They've ignited my true passion against sexist!

You know, people who think men are 'stronger' than women or women are 'smarter' than men, thats just sick. I know plenty of strong women, and plenty of smart men. My principal was sexist. who belived that the guys were better at sports than us girls, I found that hilarious, cause because the girls in my class had beat the guys in Tug-A-War, and I was the captain on our Guys volleyball team, and I was a better player on our guys basketball team, sure not the guys that played city leage, but better than the ones who didn't play. We girls showed all the guys in our class, that we were just as good as them. but then there were the girls that made those 'truths' true. they couldn't play sports, and when we won, they took ALL the credit, even if they did nothing. You know the law about hitting a female, i think that's shiz, if I were to attack a man, i would expect him to fight back, If i tried to hurt him, i don't think he shouldn't fight back, if he was the one put on trial, i would speak against myself...probably not but I would be in my mind...(I wouldn't want to be charged)...this is my opinion, but sexism should be put to an end. not just because it's incorrect, but also because it hurts people.

women are not less then men. anyone who thinks that is just a moron. I am not sexist and do not appreciate people being so to me. I am also sick of what everyone else thinks that men are better than women. It has been scientiffically proven that women are more capable. I'm just saying this. Does not mean i agree. But i am against sexism. so i stand for this cause. (If some guy hits me, am i expected to hit back? NO. If some girl hits me, am I expected to hit back, PROBABLY.) THIS IS STUPID. (I would fight back in either senario. how about you?

You know what bugs me...When President Obama kisses his female staffers on the cheek but shakes the men's hands. Talk about demeaning. That is sending the wrong message about women right there.

I'm with you on this one! I am sick of people at my school that think men are tougher, or more capable,or more important that women.
