Description:

A federal judge in New York has ordered Google to turn over a database linking YouTube users with every clip they have watched there to Viacom, who will use it solely in Viacom’s $1 billion copyright suit against Google.

For every video on YouTube, the judge required Google to turn over to Viacom the login name of every user who watched it, and their IP address.

Hello! Who is protecting the user's rights here?  Are we not protected by the Video Privacy Protection Act? (Congress passed the law to protect the video rental records of individuals, after a newspaper disclosed the rental records of a Supreme Court nominee.)

im pretty sure youtube shouldnt be using our viewing habits without asking us.

sooo... when you want to watch youtube, surf to the link via www.anonymouse.com or another anonymous surf point.

Total nonsense, and shows how worthless our on the books law is when confronted by a large sum of cash hanging in the air.

This is a breach of human Rights, Data Protection, Free will, shall I say more?
