I have heard of horrible things in my life but this? What kind of animal would do such a thing? Anyone who would use such a method to catch sharks should be uthenized themselves as dangerous preditors. Why are they even fishing for sharks in the first place? If your going to use dogs as bait why not orphaned children, convicted murders, the homeless. Quick someone send me a airline ticket and the address I will personally put a hook in them and throw them over for the sharks. Then go and have a tea break with my k-9 and feline friends. In canada we have what is called dangerous offenders these are criminals that are considered to dangerous to ever be allowed back into society and are imprisoned for life. These Bleep Bleeps deserve no less. As an added bonus they should be put in general population let those sharks at them.

This is disgusting and it is unnecessary cruelty. There are many ways to humanely catch fish and other sea life. And for anyone to make the statement who are we to judge needs help. People who find it okay to torture and kill any animal that is just living its life the best it can sickens me. There are many different places in the wolrd that do these things not for jsut food and if they were doing it for food to live they would not through the shark back after taking the fin. I am usually a strong person, but reading this passage nearly made me cry. What is this world coming to? I just wish I had more power, like people who make laws or a judge, and make the fishermen go through the same things they put both the bait and they prey through. I am 100 percent against this. How can you look in the eyes of a helpless animal, put a hook on its back, cast it out to the sea and have it vilently killed. and then if its not dead yeat through it back to relive the tragity one again. not only that but if they do catch one the take its fins off and kill it and they end up taking two lives.

dogs and cats trust us humans how could any human do something so sickening to harm them and if they live through the horror the first tiem they turn around and do it to them again. would not a ham do it for them or a side of beeef thats already dead. there are better more humane ways to accomplish what they want and why catch the shark to hurt them the entire thing makes no sense its time they all be stopped. i am a strong believer against animal cruelty, and although i have a MASSIVE huge fear of sharks, i would not wish this on anything.

It is really disgusting what our world is coming too when we display such a lack of respect for another life. Punishment should come in the same form as the crime committed. I always wonder why humans cry out in outrage when sharks attack, or tigers attack it is deserved.

The picture of the dog with the HUGE hook through his nose made me ill not to mention angry. The sick, bottom feeding scum doing this kind of thing should be punished by more than a slap on the hand and a possible two year jail term. Even if it is isolated incidents, it should not be happening at all, and it should be stopped. Its to bad that all human beings are not capable of the kind of unconditional love that dogs are.
