This petition comes from a personal experience. Our losses were not small, but this is more about the horror of finding a caretaker was a wolf in sheep's clothing, intending to harm rather then help, then it is about finances. It also made me think about others receiving home care and that many of them are much more vulnerable than my family is. Some may be stroke victims and be unable to speak for themselves. Others may have dementia and be unaware of the crimes being committed against them. Others are in their last days and should not have an upsetting exit to this world. The fact is if you need home care, you don't need anyone trying to harm you in any way, as anyone battling any illness knows stress can certainly make most illness and disease worse. Many of us will need some sort of care at some point in their lives, so we all have a stake in keeping it safe.
