  • Start Date:
    3-14-2007
  • Last Pledge:

Issue:

McDowell County is one of the poorest counties in the United States. In addition to two devastating floods in the last 5 years, the county is more recently plagued with a substantial drug problem.

Belief:

Paoli UMC's annual mission trip and trips like it do more than just help a community in need. The act of traveling to a distant place to help new friends sends a message about the power and result of faith The youth and adults alike learn about themselves and each other and grow in many ways.

Why would someone get angry when a person does something good and feels they are inspired by their God. I certainly didn't get the feeling this was crammed down my throat. I also didn't read anything about you or anyone else not being Godly enough. How do you know that the people being helped didn't ask for prayers as well as help!

MichaelR(B.B.B.09)why is it you people cant just help people out without having to cram your god and your agenda down the throuts of people who have no choice but waste their time and energy trying to fill your religios needs for fear you might not think them godly enough for the help you claim to be freely giving.take your money, food and clothes.leave your religion and prayers for those who ask.
