Issue:

China surpassed the United States this year as the world's top producer of carbon-dioxide emissions. According to the World Bank, 16 of the world's 20 most polluted cities are in China, and as many as 750,000 premature deaths occur in the country each year due to water and air pollution. With the coming Olympics in 2008, The smog in the city is imbearable and must be reduced for the athletes to perferm at their peaks.

Belief:

Things can be done and have been done to improve the air quality in Beijing. One major step and most significant reduction in carbon-diocide emissions would be for eveyone traveling to work in the city to take public tansportation.
