Description:
In Kenya 1,000 children died in post election violence and 500,000 were displaced. In Darfur 20% of the children under five years old are suffering from malnutrition and many are dying each day.(UN world food program2005) Since the 1990's young children and young adults (if you could hold a gun you were useful) have been brainwashed and forced into rebel armies. As if the people killing and hurting the young children aren't enough, 2.4 million people died in 2007 from an epidemic that has swepted the continent and the world, AIDS. I'm sure none of this info is new to you but here is your chance to help.
Unfortunately I must say that this problem won't stop. And it's not just the children of Africa that are in danger...all of us are.You think that it matters that one or two people are willing to do something about this problem?Of course it matters, but because there are so many others involved, who have the power to decide in this issue, are unfortunately choosing the wrong way and don't care about the people that are getting killed for their cause. Many fights are in the name of freedom, but are we really fighting for freedom or we just believe that because it's what we're forced to believe by someone who wants to gain more power and money. It's just sad, because until these people are not going to change the situation in this world won't change either.
There is prejudice among some people who fear what they do not know, and fear and greed is a horrible way to live our soldiers are dying in many countries so we can be free, young children are being forced to use guns, children are being exploited and used as pawns, when are the governments going to take action and the presidents come together and stop this horrific situtation, action speaks louder than words how long is it going to be before countries can get along and helpless children stop being killed!
About time someone sees that this is a problem. We fight wars and say that we are freeing the people but the ones who really need it we do nothing for.
