hi

One ring to rule them all.

hi.

i l;ike this more

I just read today that Peter Jackson HAS signed on for 'The Hobbit' as well as a sequel. 'The Hobbit' is scheduled to release in 2010 and the sequel in 2011. Quite a few events happened in the book so I'm guessing he's making it into a two part movie. Either way, I'm super stoked.

No one can do this movie but the man who gave it life on the pages. Do we really think the Lord of the Rings film would have been any good without him?

Julie

He is the best man for the job so i hope that he will do it

so i hate to be a possible bubble buster but ive heard theyve already began production on the hobbit... also theyre are plenty of other directors out there that can do an equally well put together movie... just as long as they dont get the herculese/xena/power rangers guy im sure it will be a good flick.

 just my 2 pennies worth.

Peter Jackson quote: Peter won't be directing because he felt the fans have waited long enough for The Hobbit.

I read The Hobbit and LOTR about 20 years ago for the first time. I waited 17 years for LOTR and after watching the result I think that Peter Jackson is the only one who can direct The Hobbit. I´m afraid that when someone else is directing the movie the spirit of Tolkien will be wasted for other interests (broader audience, earning more money on the movie, overdone effects etc). So, Peter the real Tolkien fans can wait and will wait.

it would be better to film the hobbit. with the prelude it would be then remain a hanging story especially for those who prefer to watch. Peter Jackson has already started the trilogy why not the hobit. He has the vision of the middle earth.

This is Daina and thanks for welcoming to your website.

Peter Jackson is the only one that would do this book as much justice as he did the others and make it so real.

If Peter Jackson doesn't direct this film who will animate it? My biggest what if for this scenerio is, what if Golem doesn't look like the same creature in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy?

just read 'The hobbit'  AGAIN.  terrific read. they must make a movie in order to establish the background to Lord of the Rings.  Peter Jackson is the only one to have the feel for the books.

Im from Mexico and i saw this awesome trilogy of LOTR, including the extended editions. Peter Jackson must direct THE HOBBIT. He is the only one who has the vision Cool to give continuity to the Lord of the Rings. I vote for Peter jackson for Director of the Hobbit, and why not? I vote for Howard Shore to be the composer of the soundtrack.Wink I also believe that Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh must be envolved. I would be a shame if the dont make the film.

I'am a real tolkien's fan and i've read the hobbit about a hundred time since i was a child, the only person on earth who can do this movie respecting tolkien's vision is Peter Jackson I think all the fans in the world will agree with me, just take a look to the work he did with LOTR...

That would be an insult to the memory of tolkien if someone else was responsible of this project

Tongue outHAIIIIIIIII

hiiiiiiiiiiiii

I really want peter jackson to direct the hobbit movie, and if he doesnt i wont go and see the movie. And thats really hard for me to even say because im such a huge JRR tolkien fan!

The Sadness Walkes

I hope Peter Jackson will return for the filming the Hobbit. He deserve it.He did an excallent job with the lotr

The Lord of the Rings Movie made me cry, at least the third of the sequence.

I happily sign this confession...

The Hobbit rocks! The Lord of the Rings trilogy was freakin awesome so I would like to see a non-cartoon version that was as good as the trilogy

Actually the Hobbit was my favorite, Peter Jackson did such a good job with LOTR, I hope he agrees to do the Hobbit as well.

the hobbit book was ace, an they shud deffo. make it into a film

bt the only person who shud direct it is peter jackson, hes the only one qualified to do so.
