Description:
Project Recycle Me is now The Responsible Initiative
Wouldn't it be nice to walk up to the garbage cans at your fast food restaurants and see a recycling bin instead? I need everyone's help on this one. I think together can bring about huge change with this petition.
I want to petition fast food companies across the country and then across the globe to provide recycling opportunities, veracomposting and 100% biodegradeable or compostable packaging materials in all of their restaurants.
Think of the waste associated with fast food (cup/lid/straw/straw wrapper/napkins/wrapper for food/boxes for food/bags for food). All of which are beyond necessary comforts and simply put in place for convenience. These conveniences are part of our biggest problem (Especially in America) it's simply a waste of our precious resources. This is not about Global Warming this is about sustainability. We are living on Planet Earth in a manner she cannot sustain for long. How are we going to make changes to make better use of our resources? I think this is a great starter! Please help me in this important campaign and sign this petition. Tell fast food businessto provide recycling and veracomposting in all of their facilites. In addition tell them you want their pachaginf products to be composed of 100% biodegradeable or compostable materials. Thank you all for your help and please feel free to download a print copy of this petition and circulate it in your community and send a copy to myself with geographic information such as Country/State. I really need all the help I can get on this one! Help bring about real change please help me with this campaign. All suggestions/questions/comments/and signatures are greatly appreciated!
An excellent and well needed campaign!! You have my support!
Not just the fast foods are destroying our planet..., everybody must recycle all possible one, and the companies would have make us to pay less the recycled material
Yes, it's about time this giant corporation start giving back to Planet Earth by showing some corporate social responsibilities after decades of racking big bucks!

Yes, it's about time this giant corporations start their corporate social resposibility and start giving back some after centuries of racking in big bucks!
not a surprise!!! lets do something!!!
wow that never occurred to me... well no. it occurred to me everytime i went to put my rubbish in the bin, because i'm so used to recycling everything... but wow. as if they don't recycle? fast food joints are single handedly destroying the planet!
If the train stations and other places can do it why can't fast food places. It's about time they started caring more about the environment then making money. Go green
Go Subway you've got it right.
I think the following means everything
There is nothing accidental about the fact that we in the West are starved for some real sense of meaning and crying out for something that, in spite of all our apparent sophistication and material success, we are no longer even able to name. This western civilization of ours was created for a purpose. Until we start to discover that purpose again, our lives will be meaningless. Unless we touch our roots and make contact again with the essence of our past, we can have no future.”

There is my vote. I think i´ts neccesary now and then...
If ALL resturants would work green, that would be a BIG help for our environment!!
I always wondered why they didn't, especialy after they made all their packaging out of paper and cardboard instead of plastic. And not just the restarunts themselves but food courts in major shopping centers too
I don,t think McDonalds has ever cared about anything apart from how to make more money by doing less. Good on you Subway!! Eat fresh and save the world AAAA+
YES they should do this put in resterants. they go threw alot of Cups nad paparwaping/boxings Ect.
this would be most helpful

All fast food restaurants should go "green" ASAP! This is not only the correct thing to do, but will send a very powerful message that the restaurant really cares about the environment. It's a smart thing to do and will work wonders for public relations, since most people care very deeply about our planet.
w00t for recycling!
Like the email said, no brainer.
Seriously, folks, this isn't rocket science. It really isn't even that expensive.
"Not that expensive"? How is several billion dollars of taxpayer's money going to government subsidies for recycling companies "not that expensive"? I honestly don't follow, were you just referring to the cost just to the restaurant itself? because then I would agree with you, otherwise I'm still confused.
It is an excellent idea, help the environment!!!
good idea. but Earth is getting angry.
The cost of not taking care of our planet is much higher than the cost of recycling. Fast food places need to quit complaining and step up to the plate. Somebody has to do something about the world, and they certainly have the money to make a difference.
True; however, recycling is just a patch over the problem, it will take serious reform to prevent any further damage to the environment, and to start making it better.
they should have recycling bins at all resturants
I cant belive this is ok to not have recycling bins at fast food places!they use so much rubbish worth recycling, and all the money they make im sure they can provide themselves with recyclin bins!I hope this changes soon as this is ridiculous if they are willing to have fast food outlets they should set an example and provide these bins!im glad to vote!!
There should definitely be recycling bins at local restaurants just as there are in our own households!
I agree with this 100%. I think that we need to recycle everything we can. We need to move away from the disposable country that we have become. This includes us as individuals, and companies that make products and goods that we use in our daily lives.
I think all fast food and other restaurants should provide recycle bins for those who are ecologically conscious.
As long as fast food (in disposables) means fast killing of this planet, avoid these joints and prepare a nice tasty meal yourself. Slow is beautiful, and its better digesting with a clear conscience.
