Harry Potter. Like Vince said, they're so different,
but if you compare how deep the books are and how much
more you can connect with the themes, then Harry
Potter wins hands down. It's just a deeper series, the
characters are more believable, and the biggest thing:
Mrs. Meyers totally raped the vampire mythos, as well
as created a book full of nothing but Mary-Sue's and
Gary-Stu's. Yup. I was, I am, and I always will be a
Harry Potter fangirl.
Harry Potter was, is, and will always be my favorite series. I can't actually say it's better, as their (HP and Twilight) areas barely touch, but I'm never giving up on Harry Potter. Although I tend to write more Twilight fanfiction nowadays, since it's a fresh new environment to juggle around..
Personally, I think Harry Potter is "better", but the two books are so different we really shouldn't compare them. First of all, Twilight (T) is a romance series while Harry Potter (HP) is action/fantasy. Also, T is not meant to be compared to HP. T is supposed to be the type of book that you read, and suddenly notice you're on page 500. "How did I get on page 500?" you say to yourself. "I've only been reading for-" you look at your watch- "3 hours? What the?" whereas HP is meant to be a deep book that you can read repeatedly and get more out of it each time.
(And about the "hot guys" thing: Hot guys do not determine how good a book is.)
the Harry Potter series didn't really hold interest to me except only one of the books and i've only read two of them, but i do like the Harry Potter movies
IM STILL A FAN OF HP BUT BY FAR A BIGGER FAN FOR TWILIGHT!!!!!
