Issue:
I was trying to see how many people out there have an old Standard Definition Television (the tube or some call them CRT) or Have you upgraded to a new High Definition Tevevision( either a LCD, a plasma, or projector).
Belief:
I think that therer are a lot of people out there that actually have stepped up and own a HDTV. Knowing that the Cable Companies are eliminating 480i/p transmission in Feb 2009 and beginning to use, what is called, HDTV that is broadcast at 720p or 1080i. I feel that the switch is happening faster than everyone seems to think.
I own an HDTV (Toshiba 56HM66 DLP). Great picture for a 720p set. I own an HD DVD player for upscaling and HD DVD's obviously.
I own a HDTV (Samsung LE32S86BD), I'm satisfied with this TV. Factory settings do not deliver the best picture. It's better disabling NR/DNIE.
Unfortunately in France there are no HD broadcasts for the moment. But, I use the TV mostly to watch DVDs; I own a Denon 1730 which delivers good upscaling at this price, with HDMI interface.
I'm not planning buying a bigger one in the future : this size of screen fits perfectly to my home.
