Who should Buffy choose?6190 Votes
Description:Issue:    Alright I made a campaign a few weeks ago hoping to get people behind a Buffy movie. I have been very pleased with the amount of new members and their comments. In thinking about a possible new movie one question keeps coming up. Should Buffy ultimately end up with Angel or Spike? Belief:           I believe that if they do make a Whedonverse movie to tie up the loose ends of the plots of Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that Buffy should choose once and for all which vampire she loves the most.            For anyone who isn’t familiar with this love triangle here is the most objective synopsis I can give. Angel was Buffy’s first love. He was her guide and protector in Sunny Dale until they had sex and he lost his soul turning into the evil Angelus. Then he tormented her for a season until he got his soul back just before she had to send him too hell. He, of course, got out of hell but had to bail because he got his own series set in Los Angeles. In one of the early episodes of Angel he gets some demon blood in a cut on his hand and is turned human. Buffy happens to be in Los Angeles at the time and it looks like they can now be together because his curse is truly lifted. Unfortunately, he is a champion that knows his job is not yet complete so he goes to an oracle that reverses time and Buffy has no knowledge of the one amazing day they had together.   In one of the final episodes of Buffy she does insinuate that they could be together someday.            Spike arrived on the scene in the season two premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He looks and talks like Billy Idol and has very heavy influence from Luke Perry’s character, Pike, in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie starring Kristi Swanson. His character was actually on the show much longer than Angel’s though evil for much longer. In season 4 the military puts a chip in his head that shocks him if he tries to hurt humans. He then discovers he can hurt Demons and becomes a pseudo good guy at the same time falling in love with Buffy even though he kind hates her too. At the end of season six he goes to some sort of demon shaman and goes through trials and torture to get his soul back. He and Buffy also had tons of sex because Spike was all about her and she was kind of tweaked out on account of the fact that she died went to heaven and was ripped back to earth by a magic spell. But that is another story.            So Whedon tried to tie this up by having Spike and Angel go to Italy only to find that Buffy was dating some immortal guy called “the immortal.â€Â I personally thought this was lame because you don’t see Buffy. I think Sara Michelle Gellar had other obligations at the time.            So I think the fans should decide. If you think Buffy should be with her first love and you still remember that song that they used to play when they were together then vote for the Vampire with a soul who helps the helpless Angel. If you feel that Buffy and Spike’s relationship was better developed in the plot and that he was more true to her because he sought out his soul and ended up later sacrificing himself to save the world then vote for the witty British rock star Vamp William the Bloody, aka Spike. I think that Buffy should end up with spike because angel and her could never really be together and she was happy w/spike.and they also looked very good together
I think that Buffy is not a good show to me.

Angel left Buffy time and time again, because things got to hard! He was a Whiny coward.
Spike never left Buffy, even when she said she hated him, he stayed. He was always there when she needed him and he understood her better than anybody ever did.
If Angel was such a great guy, then why was he not there when Joyce died? When Buffy was trying to protect Dawn from Glory? Angel was the most selfish guy in Buffy's life.
Even Xander who hated both Angel and Spike realized that Buffy really needed and loved Spike by the end of season 7. Spike proved himself time and time again and most importantly HE STUCK AROUND.
Angel was cursed with a soul, Spike chose to get a soul. Angel left Buffy and he moved on!!
So Yeh SPUFFY is my only choice. Spike is the one who stayed. He always stayed and thats the most important thing in a relationship, to Trust that someone will be there for you no matter what.
Spike, not only because he is cool, sexy, and had a great sense of humor, but because he went out of his way to get his soul back so that he and Buffy could be together. I think that's what true love meant in the series. I think Buffy should choose Spike no matter what the cost.

Spike there is no choice, Angel's a wimp, sad sorrowful .... Spike is life and was good while still a vamp without a soul.....Spike for sure
Angel can't fully commit to Buffy or he'll turn evil so Buffy should choose Spike, she brings out the best in him.
I actually believe Buffy and Angel should find some way together. Yea, Buffy and Spike had an off and on kind of relation (throughout the seasons) but Buffy and Angel will always and should always be together somehow.
I'm just an old fashioned guy - Buffy and Angel - no question about it!
I like Spike But I think buffy and angel all the way..
Angel and Buffy 4 ever. They were in love and sex ruined it.
Spike and Buffy's relationship was just the opposite, sex and only one of them loved the other, their relationship was not meant to last at all. Angel and Buffy's could have so long as they didn't get all lustful for each other.
Angel and Cordy are better for eachother as are Buffy and Spike. They have been together longer and shared alot more heartbreak/ emotion/ love/ triumph and emotion. Spuffy all the way
spike is hotter , more loving and funnier than angel , if she didn't want him i'd have him !

i know what you mean. have you seen him in bones? that's one good looking vampire.... the actor did age well. he could totally pull off angel as a human now!

I think Buffy and Angel are soul mates. Spike and Buffy was never about positve emotions.
girl, i totally agree! i mean, i could never put my finger on it, but they were never about positive emotions! i always thought their relationship was dark and weird and kinda twisted. even when buffy tried to bring spike into the light, i think he liked it dark.
i think with angel, he tried to do the right thing, think of buffy first, trying to give her a good life. he knew what he was and he wanted to be more and better for her.
i mean, i know that kinda guy would sweep me off my feet!
OMG I so think that it should be Angel all the way. She was in Love with Angel, and I don't mean crush or first love, but true deep down love. God if she didn't love him then why did she kill him and then when he came back she was by his side the whole time he was chained up?
buffy was in LUST with spike, but buffy was in LOVE with angel. me personally, i could never choose.
While I love Spike to death, Buffy and Angel are definately more soulmates than Buffy and Spike will ever be. Buffy seemed to just be looking for something (or someone) to do after Angel (and the 46 other men who followed after), and viola! Spike. Nope. Sorry. Angel all the way.
spike and buffy are meant for each other..he suffered the world and back to get his soul back for her while angel is always brooding around..also he gave his life to save the world..spike went a long way during buffy and angel, he went from being true evil to a heroe.. plus he is waaaay hotter! spike foreveeer!! (L)
ok i do agree that spike and buffy were using each other all the way. but i have to say that Buffy and Angel so should be together!!! they loved each other... and buffy didn't even love riley cause she still loved Angel and his name was all over her heart. sorry if that sounds corny but i think its true.

i have to say spuffy because they were better as a couple and the show was better having them as a couple but i know people say angel because he was better for her but i don't believe that if angel really loved her he wouldn't of left and also buffy could not kill spike but with angel in season 2 she had no trouble killing angel and also spike went and seeked a demon in africa to get his soul back so he could be the kind of man that buffy would love and trust and in season 7 buffy nearly got herself killed trying to save spike and she did end up telling spike that she loved him and you can tell that she really meant it and not like with her other two boyfriends she had so yeah i believe that spike and buffy were better together

I don't think she is supposed to end up with spike or angel for that matter. Angel and Buffy are so over even though there will always be that first love chemestry. That's just how it is. And Spike.. yes I have to agree with Robin H. She was just using him. And in the Buffy finale when Spike is dying she says she loves him but he knows that isn't true. But if I had to really choose I have to go with Angel. Like Jessica t said.. there is so much depth in their relationship.
Angel all the way. Spike was someone she was just using to get over being brought back to life. They were using each other actually. He was better suited with Druseilla. Angel and her had a deeper connection and more substance to them. The whole 'vampire with a soul' and losing it to 'experiencing a moment of perfect happiness" got in the way.
