Who should Buffy choose?6190 Votes
Description:Issue:    Alright I made a campaign a few weeks ago hoping to get people behind a Buffy movie. I have been very pleased with the amount of new members and their comments. In thinking about a possible new movie one question keeps coming up. Should Buffy ultimately end up with Angel or Spike? Belief:           I believe that if they do make a Whedonverse movie to tie up the loose ends of the plots of Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that Buffy should choose once and for all which vampire she loves the most.            For anyone who isn’t familiar with this love triangle here is the most objective synopsis I can give. Angel was Buffy’s first love. He was her guide and protector in Sunny Dale until they had sex and he lost his soul turning into the evil Angelus. Then he tormented her for a season until he got his soul back just before she had to send him too hell. He, of course, got out of hell but had to bail because he got his own series set in Los Angeles. In one of the early episodes of Angel he gets some demon blood in a cut on his hand and is turned human. Buffy happens to be in Los Angeles at the time and it looks like they can now be together because his curse is truly lifted. Unfortunately, he is a champion that knows his job is not yet complete so he goes to an oracle that reverses time and Buffy has no knowledge of the one amazing day they had together.   In one of the final episodes of Buffy she does insinuate that they could be together someday.            Spike arrived on the scene in the season two premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He looks and talks like Billy Idol and has very heavy influence from Luke Perry’s character, Pike, in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie starring Kristi Swanson. His character was actually on the show much longer than Angel’s though evil for much longer. In season 4 the military puts a chip in his head that shocks him if he tries to hurt humans. He then discovers he can hurt Demons and becomes a pseudo good guy at the same time falling in love with Buffy even though he kind hates her too. At the end of season six he goes to some sort of demon shaman and goes through trials and torture to get his soul back. He and Buffy also had tons of sex because Spike was all about her and she was kind of tweaked out on account of the fact that she died went to heaven and was ripped back to earth by a magic spell. But that is another story.            So Whedon tried to tie this up by having Spike and Angel go to Italy only to find that Buffy was dating some immortal guy called “the immortal.â€Â I personally thought this was lame because you don’t see Buffy. I think Sara Michelle Gellar had other obligations at the time.            So I think the fans should decide. If you think Buffy should be with her first love and you still remember that song that they used to play when they were together then vote for the Vampire with a soul who helps the helpless Angel. If you feel that Buffy and Spike’s relationship was better developed in the plot and that he was more true to her because he sought out his soul and ended up later sacrificing himself to save the world then vote for the witty British rock star Vamp William the Bloody, aka Spike. i think angel. spike and buffy just didn't look good together. plus, they were the same. there was nothing about their relationsihp that gave them depth... just the same ol' sex. and i got tired of the whole, buffy: you suck; spike: but i love you and think you're the best thing in the world ... really. with angel, they look good together. you know they do... and she was vulnerable with him, angel knew her best. angel was the only person she ever sacrificed anything for... as much as the boys did things for her, in the end who did she do most for? angel. it was always angel. spike may have been what she needed at the time, but it was always angel. she will never be at peace without him.
If Buffy loved Angel so much then why didnt she join him in La after the Helmouth was distryed?? and Angel left after 3years with Buffy,how can you say Angel knew buffy more than Spike?did you watch all the Buffy seasons?or did you stop at season 3? Because Buffy did risk her life for Spike,Buffy almost died trying to save Spike from the first evil episode Bring on the night,all Angel ever did was leave Buffy broken up when he left her it was Spike who made her feel love again,andnever bit and feed off Buffy to save his ass like Angel did season 3 episode Graduation day pt2 Angel bit Buffy to save his sorry excuse for a CURSED soul vamp he could have killed her and he didnt care he still bit her to save his self,and if Angel loved Buffy so much why didnt he go get a REAL SOUL like Spike did??? instead Angel would rather leave Buffy and move to La and fall in love with Cordelia,Darla (Darla Angel had a son with Connor)Angel never even told Buffy about Connor,also when Buffy died Angel didnt grief for her like Spike did wow thats real love huh?,and when Buffy came back from Heaven where was Angel? in La doing his own thing and Buffy really needed some one she was in real pain and Angel never came to help her through her pain and this is the guy your saying had a deep relationship with her?when did Buffy sacrifice herself for Angel?oh yeah when Angel was a coward and bit her to save his ass is that what your talking about???cause i never seen her kill herself to save him!!!if Angel knew her best why didnt he come to Sunnydale to help her through her pain??? like Spike did,and why didnt Buffy pick up a phone to call her on her birthday season 4,5,6?Spike went to her birthday party season 6 i didnt see Angel there,and why didnt Angel try to help Buffy with her sister when Buffys mom died??Spike did he watched Dawn for Buffy when she was alive and when she died,Buffy and Spike look great together and Buffy went to Spike when she needed some one to talk to,Buffy told Spike things she couldnt tell anyone eltse why didnt she call Angel???Buffy would have given up and died if it wasnt for Spike,Spike and Buffys relationship was more real than Buffy and Angels was,when Buffy got thrown out of her house and everyone betrayed her where was Angel????it was Spike who stood up for her to her sister,friends,watcher then Spike went to look for her and gave her the strenght she needed to go on,wheres Angel????i remember in season 2 Angel was going to stab buffy in the head with a sword and she stopped it with her hands and season 5 Spike stopped a sword with his hand to protect Buffy,when Angel came back season 7 Buffy told him she had feelings for Spike and sent him away so she could spend what might have been her last night on earth with Spike,and when Xander was going to kill Spike cause he seen Spike and Anya on Willows computer haveing sex Buffy ran to stop him,and when Spike was feeding off humans cause he was being controlled by the first evil Spike begged Buffy to kill him and she didnt Buffy told him she believed in him,and when Spikes chip was defected Buffy had the chip removed to save his life,and when Wood and Giles tryed to kill Spike Buffy told Wood that if he tryed anything again Spike would kill him and more importantly she would let him Buffy also turned her back on Giles that night also,and when Giles sent Spike on a mission Buffy asked if he would return and Giles said yes Buffy asked him why he sent the only one whos been on her side and watching her back away, and episode first date Spike told Buffy he should leave town and Buffy told him no cause im not ready for you to not be here,So tell me where you get that Buffy never tried to save Spike????Spike knew Buffy more than anyone on the whole show and your claiming Angel did i think you might want to rewatch the episodes again,So your saying Buffy would never be at piece without Angel why did Buffy go to Rome instead of going to be with Angel????think real here ok do you honestly think Buffy would choose a guy who doesnt even have a real soul,a guy whos cursed with a soul who cant even love her or anything without a soul,a guy who walks out on her all the time,a guy who makes all the rules without her,a guy who has a child with the woman who tryed to kill her,the guy who hasnt been there for her???? or would Buffy choose Spike some one who can love without a soul,a guy who lets her be herself and doesnt try to control her,a guy who when your friend told him to leave and treated him like crap still stayed to be with her,a guy who she can talk to about anything,a guy whos been there protecting herand her family and friends and the world,a guy who fought for a soul to be the kind of man she deserved for her,the guy whos been there whenever or where ever she wanted or needed,the guy who loved her more than his own life more than anything,the guy who gave her strenght when she was week,the guy who made her smile when she was sad,the guy who when she died stayed to help her sister and her friends,the guy who died to save her and the world get real Buffy would choose Spike i know i would!!!Also Angel was selfish and self centered he only cared about his own feelings he doesnt care about Buffy if he did Buffy would have a say in choices.Anyway Spike is a Champion a real man!!!Spuffy Forever!!!

I think a wrap up would be a great idea. And I think that Spike gave up so much just to be with Buffy and Angel just left her. Plus Spike is WAY hotter and funnier, Angel was just so whiny.
i think she should choose neither, as both are vampires she will out grow them, get a real boyfriend is the best idea but keep ryle out, big girls blouse that he is

Okay, this is a hard one. On one hand you have the vampire with a soul...Angel...who I absolutely love. However, their relationship could never be physical again. Then there is Spike, the vampire with a chip for a soul. I love him good or bad, but I think his relationship with Buffy is mainly physical...so I say have both! Angel for the non physical stuff and spike for the physical stuff...have your cake and eat it too!
I prefer Buffy be with someone who is self-sacrificing than self-pitying. Spike was much more likeable.Angel was a wuss. It would be so predictable to end up with Angel in the end and I think that Spike suited Buffy's character direction better (her character evolved into more of a bitch after season 3).Bring Spike back! Buffy died twice (technically three times if you include in the alternate demension).so obviously Joss whedon has no probs with bringing characters back from the dead....

With Spike she didnt really fall in love with him! she was a lil crazy cus she was ripped from heaven and she even says she was using him! Spike was stupid and ultimatley regretted getting his soul back.
As with angel, he and buffy really loved eachother! they didnt go far because he wanted her to have a normal life! not a life influenced by an immortal creature and he was torn apart from feeling love and protecton for buffy!!

yeah but with buffy and spike buffy did end up saying that she loved him and spike got his soul for buffy i mean come with angel if he really loved her he wouldn't of left her in the 3rd season and wouldn't you be crazy if you just got ripped out of heaven
It's a dificult desision because Angel has a child who is close in age to Buffy. She might get jellous that angel had a child with Darla and she will never be able to have a child with either spike or angel. Spike and Buffy would (in my mind)eventually kill one annother. They relationship wasn't romantic it was purely sexualy driven. Angel in a way sort of proposed to Buffy in the episode where angel gave buffy a clader ring( Heart, hands and crown) This ring was often used during the time period that angel lived in as a wedding band. Besides their relationship is soo much more romantic, spirtual and beautiful.
What buffy and Spike had was HOT, but Angel OMG I know, I know theirs that hole soul looseing thing but come on if spike can get a soul don't you think that they can fix Angels? Really.
Up until Season 7, I would have said Angel all the way. They were meant for each other forever, tru love. But... you cannot beat the fire and spark that Buffy and Spike had in Season 6 and the love and compassion that Spike gave Buffy in Season 7. Though Buffy was brutal with the way she treated Spike, her compassion for him did come through on many occasions. Deep down, she could not let go of Spike, where she ultimately let go of Angel. You will always remember your first, but you spend forever with your soul mate.

Buffy should choose Spike...but Spike should find someone much nicer to him than Buffy ever was.
I thought the love between Buffy and Angel was real but too into it, they had so much dualness between them. Spike and Buffy are that crazy hot couple.

I love Buffy with Angel. I enjoyed watching BUFFY. I saw when she and Angel first met. I have been a fan of theirs ever since then and even when the shows BUFFY and ANGEL ended.
However, the seasons are still ongoing, through the comic books, and they pretty much rock. Angel moved on to Cordelia, granted, that didn't go well. Spike and Buffy had a lot of passion though, and I like them as a couple.
buffy and spike are the perfect couple and angel payed his dead to society and should get the final end

i think buffy should be with angel. they have the chemistry together that no other has and the show was great till they seperated them. i watched from day one and i say bring buffy and angel back. they are great together. im very upset yet that they took them off i loved the show like i loved passions. you guys always mess thngs up and take the good shows off anr put awful ones on. no wonderpeople dont watch tv lie they used to. i want buffy and angel back together like i want passions back. please do somethng about both of those shows. elizabetrh
I would be ok with either choice but i would choose Angel only because hes hotter.

Buffy and Angel forever! That was true eternal love..... Buffy, in my opinion, didn't was benn in love with Spike, never, her heart has belonged, and always will belong to Angel, just like Angel's hearth belong to her.
