Who should Buffy choose?6190 Votes
Description:Issue:    Alright I made a campaign a few weeks ago hoping to get people behind a Buffy movie. I have been very pleased with the amount of new members and their comments. In thinking about a possible new movie one question keeps coming up. Should Buffy ultimately end up with Angel or Spike? Belief:           I believe that if they do make a Whedonverse movie to tie up the loose ends of the plots of Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that Buffy should choose once and for all which vampire she loves the most.            For anyone who isn’t familiar with this love triangle here is the most objective synopsis I can give. Angel was Buffy’s first love. He was her guide and protector in Sunny Dale until they had sex and he lost his soul turning into the evil Angelus. Then he tormented her for a season until he got his soul back just before she had to send him too hell. He, of course, got out of hell but had to bail because he got his own series set in Los Angeles. In one of the early episodes of Angel he gets some demon blood in a cut on his hand and is turned human. Buffy happens to be in Los Angeles at the time and it looks like they can now be together because his curse is truly lifted. Unfortunately, he is a champion that knows his job is not yet complete so he goes to an oracle that reverses time and Buffy has no knowledge of the one amazing day they had together.   In one of the final episodes of Buffy she does insinuate that they could be together someday.            Spike arrived on the scene in the season two premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He looks and talks like Billy Idol and has very heavy influence from Luke Perry’s character, Pike, in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie starring Kristi Swanson. His character was actually on the show much longer than Angel’s though evil for much longer. In season 4 the military puts a chip in his head that shocks him if he tries to hurt humans. He then discovers he can hurt Demons and becomes a pseudo good guy at the same time falling in love with Buffy even though he kind hates her too. At the end of season six he goes to some sort of demon shaman and goes through trials and torture to get his soul back. He and Buffy also had tons of sex because Spike was all about her and she was kind of tweaked out on account of the fact that she died went to heaven and was ripped back to earth by a magic spell. But that is another story.            So Whedon tried to tie this up by having Spike and Angel go to Italy only to find that Buffy was dating some immortal guy called “the immortal.â€Â I personally thought this was lame because you don’t see Buffy. I think Sara Michelle Gellar had other obligations at the time.            So I think the fans should decide. If you think Buffy should be with her first love and you still remember that song that they used to play when they were together then vote for the Vampire with a soul who helps the helpless Angel. If you feel that Buffy and Spike’s relationship was better developed in the plot and that he was more true to her because he sought out his soul and ended up later sacrificing himself to save the world then vote for the witty British rock star Vamp William the Bloody, aka Spike. Not to mention Spike counted the days, hours, minutes, and seconds Buffy was gone and hello people he was evil then and he still cared more than Angel!
Well im gonna say angel, only because cordy died, and cordy and angel were so perfect for each other. and cause i think angel's better then spike, sorry spike fans, angel deserves to be human , after all that was the prophecy!
Yes but he signed his chance away, and on top of that I think an evil Vamp fighting for his soul and dieing to save the world is way up there on the I deserve to be human list. Also how do you thank Buffy would of felt if she new Angel chose to be a Vamp rather than being with her and then made her forget that experience. I personaly thank she would have been pist to no end. And as for the prohecy itself it never mentioned a name only that a souled vampire would be human one day. There are two souled vamps now not one. But I do agree that Angel and Cordy were perfect together.
I don't think cordy and angel go togeather.I couldn't feel the chemistery in their characters at all, only as a best freind caring for another best freind.If cordy had any chemistery I think they should of keep Doyle in the first episode.He really liked cordy,and it seemed she cared for him in the end..

I THINK BUFFY SHOULD BE WITH SPIKE. I WISH THAT THEY WOULD BRING CORDY BACK TO BE WITH ANGEL.

All this comments are about the type of person we are(or we like). Some of us like a peaceful relationship, no intense emotions, go to work,come back home,make dinner and go to sleep,than they voted 4 Angel.
Others like an intens, exciting, hot, funny and passionate relationship,so we voted 4 Spike.
well it cant be angel he signd away the sansue when sitting with the members of the black thorn, there is no real boy for angel, not anymore.
This all depends on who ultimately will "become a real boy" after the final battle. I do believe this honor should go to Angel, thus solving the "Who should Buffy choose?" problem. Although I love Spike and Buffy together, Angel has fought longer and harder on the side of good and deserves a little touchin' and squeezin' with the Buff.
buffy should be with angel. they look good together and they were so in love before.
That's hard because Angel's kinda like the romantic relationship and Spike's the more lusty one. I'd have to go with Spike just because he is still so in love with Buffy and is so wiling to change for her. Angel has kinda moved on with his life with Cordy. Plus, I mean come on Spike's amazing!

okay okay,, Angel and buffy are of coarse ment for each other. they are the originl couple, BUT angel and cordilia were perfect. they were totally in love and their relationshp grew over the years. the same goes for buffy and spike, absolutly perfect! Buffy and Angel will always love each other, but it would never work. they made new loves and it just does work. They look good together.. blondes blondes- brunettes brunettes... cordilia gives angel that spunky, gidddy , and full of additude effect. spike gives buffy that arrogant , lust, darker, side. They complete each other....wow that sounds really corny!! haha but it's true

i like spike a lot more, and afterall.. he did change just for buffy.. but she and angel really do love each other. their whole relationship gets on my nerves sometimes, but they belong together. i love spike tho.. if angel dies (again) tho.. lol.. never mind. i dont want that either. tough decision. i couldnt make it if i was buffy.
are we forgetting that spike was going to get his chip out when he went throught those trials after his attemptd rape of the slayer the demon didnt give what spike first asked for to remove his chip, and that is what he wanted, dont be confused with the make me what i was line so i can give her whats coming to her. it wasnt noble what spike did it was spike finally being spike. about time.but still impossible decison tru tru
Ok so I'm sorry but you are very wrong. First off, I own every single season of Buffy and have watched them more times than should be humanly possible. Spike did not leave to get his chip out he left to get his soul. The reason I know this is because even Joss said that was the reason in the special fetures of the DVD. Second why would spike go and get his chip out when he could already kill Buffy because the chip wouldn't work on her. The line make me what I was actually had great significants. It was meant to confuse you, but thats how Joss is. What Spike was tring to say is make me the man I was so I can give her what she deserves. Third Spike also tells Buffy that getting his soul was for her when she discovers he has one in 7th season. When she asks why he did it and this is right from the script mind you he say's "Buffy, shame on you. Why does a man do what he mustn't? For her. To be hers. To be the kind of man who would nev... to be a kind of man." and then right before he lays his arms on the cross he says "She shall look on him with forgiveness, and everybody will forgive and love. He will be loved." Even evil Spike was not that good at lieing especially to Buffy. But crazy souled Spike could never lie to her. Even in that episode he didn't lie he told her he wasn't going to tell her whats up with him,and he also said that the ghosts in the basements made him crazy which was all true just not the whole truth.
This is what YOU think. I think he get what he wanted when he went to that demon. She didn't love him 'cause he didn't have a soul so he went to get his soul back. And you ,probably, think that Angel loved Buffy when he lost his soul and he wanted to kill her 'cause he didn't like what he was feeling. Sorry, it wasn't like this in the Buffy TVS show that i was seeing.

Buffy should so be with Angel. First love is a very strong tie and can't be ignored. But if Riley wasn't married, He is soooo cool. She should be with him. That episode makes me cry every time.
Riley is married.
Why would she end up with either? In the end she's a loner. Oh, and I'm voting Riley anyway just to piss all the Angel and Spike fans off.

That's tough choice. But... I'd say Buffy should be with Spike. Only there's a little catch - Spike's DEAD! Or did I miss something? I didn't watch "Angel", so maybe there Spike's alive? Man, I've gotta catch up.

Let's see: Buffy&Angel
He become human,she choose him. He doesn't have any power to help her anymore so she fights alone. He stay home and make cookies 4 her. He is so bored of this life,he feels unhappy and start missind the good days when he was a vampire.He is nervous all the time and he yells at Buffy and ask her questions about her relationship with Spike,'Cause he is jealous.She had a full day fighting evil so she left him talking and she go to bed, alone,missing all the hot nights she had with Spike. Angel is so unhappy and he goes to someone to make him a vampire again (he did that b4). He came back home,make love to her and become evil again, so she must kill him. Or he kill her.
Now,let's see a Buffy&Spike story:
'Cause(4 you,Angel's fans)Spike is not a hero,he is still a vampire and because Buffy was dead in season 5 and she came back,now she can't age more then 40 years old.She can live 4ever,fighting evil together,wiht Spike, all the time. When she is tired he make one of his jokes and she fells better. They take shower together and go to sleep together(or something like this).
The fact is: The relationship between Angel&Buffy was to boring,it did not have a fire.Something to keep you interested.I think this was the reason 4 making a Angel show.
If you put 2 serious-minded people together is a great work teem,but a very tedious(or to soppy) love story. The relationship with Spike can't be mellw,or boring,cause they are diffrent. Someone said b4 that Spike and Buffy are 2 parts of a unit. I think so too.
When she was sad,he made her lought,when she was weak,he made her strong again.When he was weak and didn't trust him self,she belived in him. When he was send in a deadly mission, by Giles,she runed to help him. When Angel finally come to be wiyh her (shoulder to shoulder) she sended him back to LA and she goes to Spike.
SO,Who should Buffy choose? Guess who i voted 4.

I can come with other ideeas. But my point was the fact that Angel& Buffy love story is not so interesting as Spike& Buffy one. Anyway,can be a lot of ways to make Angel&Buffy together again,but all of them will be boring .Only if the creator can change the personality of Angel.But it not be Angel anymore.
