Who should Buffy choose?6190 Votes
Description:Issue:    Alright I made a campaign a few weeks ago hoping to get people behind a Buffy movie. I have been very pleased with the amount of new members and their comments. In thinking about a possible new movie one question keeps coming up. Should Buffy ultimately end up with Angel or Spike? Belief:           I believe that if they do make a Whedonverse movie to tie up the loose ends of the plots of Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that Buffy should choose once and for all which vampire she loves the most.            For anyone who isn’t familiar with this love triangle here is the most objective synopsis I can give. Angel was Buffy’s first love. He was her guide and protector in Sunny Dale until they had sex and he lost his soul turning into the evil Angelus. Then he tormented her for a season until he got his soul back just before she had to send him too hell. He, of course, got out of hell but had to bail because he got his own series set in Los Angeles. In one of the early episodes of Angel he gets some demon blood in a cut on his hand and is turned human. Buffy happens to be in Los Angeles at the time and it looks like they can now be together because his curse is truly lifted. Unfortunately, he is a champion that knows his job is not yet complete so he goes to an oracle that reverses time and Buffy has no knowledge of the one amazing day they had together.   In one of the final episodes of Buffy she does insinuate that they could be together someday.            Spike arrived on the scene in the season two premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He looks and talks like Billy Idol and has very heavy influence from Luke Perry’s character, Pike, in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie starring Kristi Swanson. His character was actually on the show much longer than Angel’s though evil for much longer. In season 4 the military puts a chip in his head that shocks him if he tries to hurt humans. He then discovers he can hurt Demons and becomes a pseudo good guy at the same time falling in love with Buffy even though he kind hates her too. At the end of season six he goes to some sort of demon shaman and goes through trials and torture to get his soul back. He and Buffy also had tons of sex because Spike was all about her and she was kind of tweaked out on account of the fact that she died went to heaven and was ripped back to earth by a magic spell. But that is another story.            So Whedon tried to tie this up by having Spike and Angel go to Italy only to find that Buffy was dating some immortal guy called “the immortal.â€Â I personally thought this was lame because you don’t see Buffy. I think Sara Michelle Gellar had other obligations at the time.            So I think the fans should decide. If you think Buffy should be with her first love and you still remember that song that they used to play when they were together then vote for the Vampire with a soul who helps the helpless Angel. If you feel that Buffy and Spike’s relationship was better developed in the plot and that he was more true to her because he sought out his soul and ended up later sacrificing himself to save the world then vote for the witty British rock star Vamp William the Bloody, aka Spike. i think buffy should be with spike.
uh... wasn't spike killed in the last buffy episode? when does all this italy and the immortal stuff happen? must be the angel series. but if spike is alive, then no doubt she should be with spike. he really loved her. angel and buffy never had that intense of a relationship while they were together. it was more like puppy love... high school love. when buffy is with spike she is older and the relationship is much more passionate.
i would have said at first that she should be with angel (before seeing all the spike episodes). but spike went through a ton for her and he stayed with her. he found a way for them to be together instead of just leaving "for her" and then have another life. on the other hand it seems like buffy went to spike for sex not necessarily because she loved him.
Angel of course! he can provide for her and would love her no matter what she would do. Plus their kidsz would look sooo cute!
I think angel because he was there when he could be and only left for her. he didnt wana turn evil n try to kill her again. they where a perfect couple.
I do like spike but he gotta learn what not his. sorry but i think he would better suit somebody other than the slayer. maybe a potential slayer :P

OH so your saying the guy(Angel)who didnt tell you in the begining that he was a vampire(Buffy had feelings for Angel before she discovered he was a vampire)and the guy who if Willow didnt yell at would have never even asked Buffy out,or the guy who cant even love you without his soul,and the guy who you have to kill and then he comes back only to leave you again and in the process leave you all broken up inside,and goes to LA and falls in love with Darla and has a baby with her(and never tells Buffy about this)and then Angel falls in love with Cordelia,and the guy whos never around?thats your choice?well i believe Buffy deserves Spike some one who loves her without or with a soul,a guy who changes his entire exsitence for you,a guy who even helped you sis and friends out when your dead,a guy who went through hell to get a soul for you,a guy who loves you soo much that hes there to watch your back and die for you,did you even see all the seasons of Buffy? or the seasons of Angel?if you did you would clearly see that Buffy and Spike belong together.
How old are you? Try to see the show after few years. I'm curious how you'll see this love triangle when you'll be older and wiser.

I was an Angel fan, but after seson 5, i started to like Spike more. At the end of the season 7,i loved Spike.He was ALWAYS there,at the right time. Then i started to see Angel show. I was disappointed. Angel felt something 4 Buffy,but it was not love. After seeing Buffy and Angel shows,more then one time,i was sure Buffy and Spike are the best match. And is not cause he love her,is cause they are yng&yang,2 parts of a unit.
Angel and Buffy had the love of lifetime. Epic love from heaven to hell and back. Definetely Angel.. Spike was just there to fill her emptiness after returning from the dead.
After she returned from the dead Angel called her. If you remember,the phone was ringing and she asked Giles who can be on the phone 'cause everybody she knows lives there. So my question is :what emptiness he filled? The sexual one? She coud choose somebody else 4 this but she choosed him and it was not just sex. Was everything that can be in a relationship. Smiles,tears,passion,fight,hummor and victory.

everyone seems to forget to fact the spike did NOT love buffy when he didnt have a soul. he tried to kill her the first dozen times he saw her.
he didnt love her when he didn have a soul, he was trying to connect to a world he didnt belong in after getting his chip because thats what he needs, connection.
Buffy wasnt in her right mind when she had sex with spike.
she said she loved angel more than anything in her life, and that means someting.
even joss said he thought buffy and angel belong together.
Firts off Spike did love Buffy WITHOUT A SOUL did you even see season 5 of Buffy?and Angel did not tell Buffy he was a vampire when Buffy started to have feelings for him Buffy found out on her own when she kissed him season 1 episode Angel,and did you see the spin off show Angel cause if you did you would have seen that Angel fell in love with Cordelia and Darla and that Angel had a baby with Darla (Connor),so where is this love your talking about?oh yeah Buffy/Angels school boy crush thats right but Buffy is a woman now i really dont think she loves Angel that much anymore cause if she did why didnt she rush off to LA after the closing of the Hellmouth and Sunnydale being a big crater to be with Angel if she loves him so much?And your forgetting souless ANGELOUS trying to kill Buffy also without a soul? Angelous was far more evil than Spike was without a soul,and honestly the first time Buffy and Spike had sex if she didnt have feelings for Spike after that why did she keep going back for more?you cant tell me she would keep having sex with someone she didnt have feelings for and lets not forget Spike could have bitten her at any time during season 6 cause his chip didnt stop him from hurting Buffy but he didnt bite her did he?yet season 3 Buffy Angel had a soul and he bit and ate from Buffys blood to save his own souled life?which was gross to see and thats the girl hes suppose to love?Angel could have killed Buffy when he drank her blood but yet Spike (and Spike was souless at the time when they were intimate he could have bit)never bit her and your saying Angel loved Buffy more?(Hell Angel had a soul when he bit her)So basicly a guy who never tells you hes a vampire when you start to have feelings for him,and a guy that turns evil after you lose your virginity with him,a guy that trys to kill you without a soul,a guy you have to kill cause hes evil and trys to kill you and your friends and kills Ms Calendar,a student who was in self defence class with you,trys to kill your watcher(which Spike saves Giles from Angel killing him for Buffy)a guy that tells your mom you had sex with him,a guy you get kicked out of school for cause of him and his lover Drusilla sending you on a wild goose chase kills a slayer friend of yours and puts your best friend Willow in the hospital,then you have to kill him,a guy who comes back from death(who the first evil brings back)and a guy who dumps you night befor Prom,a guy who drinks your blood,a guy who runs away and deserts you leaving you all broken up inside who only comes back to Sunnydale a couple of times after he leaves you and you go to LA to help him out and he punches you in the mouth and orders you out of his city,a guy who becomes human and can acually be with you and gives it all up to become a demond again and falls in love with some one else and even has a baby with this person and never tells you about it is suppose to be your one true love?hey im sorry but i would take Spike the guy whos been there watching my back and my friends back and my lil sisters back and my moms back,the guy who loves Buffy without a soul,a guy who even after i died stayed and helped my friends,sister,watcher,a guy who changed his whole life and went through hell to get a soul for me and then when everyone gave up on me he comes and gives me the strenght to go on and the guy who died for me,Spike all the way,Spuffy forever!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you blind? Because you have to be blind to say thet Spike di not love Buffy, you have to be either blind or you didn't watch the show after the 3 season. I didn't want to post comments here but after I read your post I couldn't stop.
Spike did not love Buffy? Who loved her if he didn't.
Spike was beside her all the time, no matter whether he had a soul or not. He helped her to protect Dawn and her mother from Glory, he let Glory bit him almost to death to protect Dawn, he risked his life dozens of times to help Buffy, he continuoud to help Buffy's friends even after her death,he was with her after she came back from dead and treated him like ****, he was beside her because she needed him, he got his soul for her, he died for her, he stwyed with her when even her friends left her, he gave her her power back when she was weak, he died for her. How can yuo, hoe dare you say that he didn't love her. What is love if he didn't love her.
Do you have to drink the blood of the person you love to prove that you love her? Do you have to leave her die to prove that you love her? Do you have to leave her time and time again to prove that you love her? Because if so Angel's love was true and genuine.
I don't understand you people,the only reason I would say that buffy should be with angel is that I HAVE TOBE WITH SPIKE:)))but those are only my dreams,so I think she should choose Spike
Oh. But let's face it,they are actors, i'm sure they have good make up employees,and i have seen an interview of Marsters from last year, i think, he is not so bad.
Oh, and about a Spike-movie: Spike was never that interesting on his own. He grew in popularity after he fell in love with Buffy. It was the obsessed wild dog on a leash we wanted, hanging after Buffy. Not yet another tormented hero.
I also don't know if you've seen James Marsters lately. Not so hot anymore I'm afraid. He's now 44 years old, and I have to say: David Boreanaz does age more gracefully...
I'm not sure I think she should end up with any one of them. Buffy changed during the show, from insecure mooning teenager into a hard-ass treading on the dark side. Even though I don't think she can ever love Spike, I also don't think she can go back to brooding Angel. Let's face it, his ship has sailed. The few re-appearances he did in Buffy only made the character look flat and boring. I wouldn't mind seeing Buffy ans Spike back in each other's arms though.
It is a Buffy movie,an Angel movie why not a Spike movie? I want a Spike movie more then a Angel& Buffy one. And i hope 4 a happy ending one with Spike and Buffy together at the end. Who doesn't want this end they can choose not to see it. We have more then 5600 votes here and more then 50% are 4 Spike so i think if it will be a movie it should be a Spike one.
Buffy had a movie,Angel had a movie,why Spike doesn't have one? I think i want a Spike movie more than a Buffy& Angel one. And i want a happy ending one with him and Buffy together in the end.
i think buffy should be with angel because they never got a chance to be with each other - there's the demons and the saving the world thing. buffy and angel would die for each other. they're the same: they try do the right thing and think of each other first before themselves, even if means they'd suffer for it. they never got a chance to be with each other without the world depending on them. then after coming back from the dead, buffy was never happy the way she was when she was with angel. and all of her other relationships didn't last. i think it's because she can't let go of angel. she can't forget him. i think they both tried to find happiness with other people but it hasn't worked out. i think they're both waiting for the time when they can be ready for each other. and i think that kind of love is meant to be.
With Cordi dead, i agree,Angel will want to be with Buffy. But if Cordi can be alive, i think Angel will not choose Buffy. He want Cordi more than Buffy.He loved Cordi more than Buffy. I don't think Angel is Buffy soulmate. He moved on long b4 she did,when he left her. And Angel felt 4 the teenager Buffy,not 4 women Buffy. God, according to him,he felt 4 Buffy the first time he was seeing her, but she was just a little girl with a lollipop.He know nothing about the women Buffy, he only had the teenager Buffy.
I think she should be with Angel, but without the whole turning Evil portion.
People said that buffy love spike and that spike knew, well there is an interview of James M were he said that spike knew that buffy real love was angel and not him, this interview was when he was going to star in the serie Angel, soo was after the end of buffy. Spike knew that buffy had feeling for him because that is true, but buffy true love, soulmate, the guy she should end up with is Angel. That whas the kind of relationship that makes you dream and that is soo powerfull that you have to see end up with a happy ending, they just deserce each other, they were meant for each other, born to be with the other. Clearly my vote is for Angel and that eternal and true love, that endless passion.
I THINK BUFFY SHOULD BE WITH SPIKE BECAUSE HE IS SO CUTE.

You know what i think? This is not about Spike and Angel.This is about James M and David B. If it wasn't like this than we all can see Spike is better than Angel. I was wondering what if Angel was played by Danny DEVito, do any of you still vote 4 him?
