i dont mean to be mean, but buffys not into girls. sure, her best friend, and i love the whole willow/tara thing. but buffys into angel. she like spike for the sex. barely any emotion. maybe, at the end, when he died and it was cool and stuff, but angel is her true love. duh. dont get me wrong, i love faith. she rox. but not with buffy. I'd have to vote for Faith. Okay, I know. You think me crazy. Well, guess I am but Im' just going to say Faith was a bad timing in Buffy's life but their relationship was screwed up by Angel's return. And think about who's the main cause" or trigger of Buffy and Angel break up (S3)(or argument S4). There was so much sexual tension between the 2 and they did with Spike what they couldn't do with Faith because it was too early in Buffy's character's development. Buffy can't be with a "normal" human being, we saw that with Riley. But a vampire, we all know how wrong and unlasting tihs is. Who better than a slayer to understand another slayer? So, okay, no I don't think true love is the word. I really don't see any happily ever after for those two but there was definitely attraction. That's why Buffy took it so hard... Angel was her first love and first love come and most of the time go. So defently Spike, not to mention Spike loved Buffy when he was evil so that leads me to believe that the man and the demon loved Buffy where as Angels demon did not. Also not to mention evil Spike got his soul for Buffy where as Angelus would have never done that and would of probably done things beyond attempting to rape her. Pluse on top of every thing else Spike loved buffy more and would have done anything for her, I truly thank she relized how much in the end and finally let her guard down and let him in. So not only do I believe she fell in love with him in the end I think Spike deserves her more. Angel left her chose his path of ritciousness over her and fell in love with Cordy, which I thank was his true love. Spike never once left Buffy until he died. First of all Riley went off and got married to someone else...Angel will always be Buffy's first love, and sad as it is, despite her telling Spike she loved him, she didn't mean it...she only said it because he was going to die...she didn't fall in love with him... I never really got involved in the Angel-Buffy-Spike love triangle, because their really wasn't a doubt in my mind who was Buffy's true love. Many can argue that Angel was her first love, and that she got over it when she grew up. Others can say that Angel ran off and left all by herself while Spike stuck by her side. But whatever they say it wont change the fact and MY opinion that Angel was and still continues to be Buffy's true love. Their love is meant to last forever, they transcended everything, even Joss said it, though his word doesn't really count for anything in this discussion, after all he never really wanted Angel or Spike, he had wanted Xander for his leading slayer. Oh by the way attempted rape, with or without a soul is still unforgivable, it doesn't matter if many Spike fans think Buffy deserved it for being a bitch to him throughout season six. I do not think Buffy deserved that for being a bitch, and it is hard to swallow but the truth of the matter is She did drive his demon crazy with want and thats what led to it. I also believe that if Angelus had killed enough people in season 2 and actually broken Buffy that he would have actually raped her just like he did to Dru before he turned her. Also Spike couldn't of actually done it Buffy is stronger than him. I thank people forget that. He would of had to of broken her from within to ever be able to get the upper hand on her or at least kill her first. And of all the things he could of done for forgivness, he went and got his soul. something a regular vampire would of never done. But I do not agree with the writers of 6th season on a lot of things including that. Why do you think Riley was the one that truly loved Buffy ???. Both Angel and Spike proved their love time and time again.Angel would have died for her and Spike did,what more can someone do.Riley was the normal guy and Buffy liked her men to have some danger to them,agin Angel and Spike.Can you say anything that Riley proved is love for Buffy, apart from the fact he left. ?????? Buffy should have loved SPIKE because he loved her completely and unconditionally while ANGEL ran and hid in Season 1...Xander had to drag him to help. Alsa...the woman was a fool though, she love Angel. Spike was just a toy to her. Truely she did not deserve Spike after her horrible treatment of him in Season 6. Of course Angel, Spike she was with after she died and felt nothing. I cried during that episode of Angel when he became human and Buffy and him were together like they should have been. Then he had to chose to become a Vamp again so she would't die and her memory was erased. I hope you dont mean 7th, Did you see that lame ass kiss the spark was completely gone. It seemed to me to be a very flat, why did I even do that type of kiss. And all that stuff about cookies was a smoke screen. Her and Spike relationship was private from the begining. I thank in the end it was something she enjoyed, something that was some what of a comfert to her, something that was hers. So rather than tell Angel the truth she gave him hope because she didn't think she was going to live through the battle. Remember she didn't have her great plan until the first talked to her early that morning. SPIKE!!!Actually she loved both of them, but by different ways. Angel was her first love, but Spike was her true love. Spike was her real soul mate – he loved the best and the worst of her.
