Read the following statement by Mrs. Tassler, Do you agree with her comment about the experience with Jerico and it's affect on Moonlight? Read on.......MoonlightMoonlight cancelledThursday, 15th May 2008 CBS has decided not to renew the freshman vampire drama Moonlight for a second season, Variety reported.Despite confidence among the show's cast and crew and a core audience of dedicated fans, declining ratings and creative upheaval behind the scenes did not impress CBS. The show has had five different show runners during its first year, and budgetary issues have been a source of conflict between the studio and the network.CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler confirmed that the network's experience with Jericho, which lost viewers after it was renewed for a second season, affected the decision to cancel the fledgling vampire series."We had a very passionate fan base, and that's a good thing," Tassler said. "We just had to make a lot of tough calls." Tassler also stated that Moonlight would not resurface on sister network The CW. I think that moonlight and jerico are not even the same in nature. I don't know how moonlight can be compared to jerico?Thanks to CBS taking too long with jerico second time round; the show was never the same!Especialy when characters were killed off prior. We need moonlight; and it has to stay the same as it is with the sae cast! Time is of the esence! Eventualy the actors will find new work!Now with Tasslers comment about moonlight; it seem like she is saying it is our fault!? |
