I know there are plenty of people who hate FOX news but I hope they have the sense to realize that what is going on is an attempt to stop freedom of speech. Wonder what would have happened had GWB done the same thing? The hypocritical nature of this administration is amazing. Do the other networks not have the "gumption" (Patti--I bet you know that word!) to reaalize they are next? It is scary.

Well, it appears "balloon boy" was a hoax gone wild! Too bad someone does something like this--lots of $$$$ and manpower used. Poor kid--so nervous he threw up on TV. Wonder what will happen to the parents? Probably make $$$$ off this!

Here's something I heard today. I will check it out and also sending an email to Hannity and Beck about this. A lady my aunt knows in SC told her Sunday School class that she makes a few ornaments every year and sends them to DC for the White House Christmas tree. This lady said she got a letter from the White House and that they aren't having a Christmas tree this year but a Holiday tree and that they won't be using any ornaments with a Christian theme to them. I can't imagine this lady would lie. I intend to check it out. This isn't hear say...it was something told in my aunt's class at church today. That tree at the White House has always been a special ceremony...lighting it and celebratiing CHRISTMAS! If I find out more I will let you know.

Julie,.what was the reason given that people can not display their flag ? What reason could be good enough to keep anyone from displaying their flag. The flag police had better be on their way because we put ours up in front and on the back of our house which is faces out on the golf course eairly every morning and only bring it in as it gets dark out of great respect for it.

So happy little "balloon boy" was found safe and sound!!!! Anyone who has children know things can happen--and quickly. I bet we all have stories from when we were a kid or something our own kid did. Heck, I drove off and left my daughter at a convenience store one time. It was in my town and when I got to school I realized she was not in the back seat and I knew where she was, I went flying back to the store. She was propped up in a booth with the ladies there fussing over her and giving her treats.. She told them " Oh don't worry about it--My mother is a teacher. She will realize what she did before long" Did not bother her a bit. I was afraid she would take off walking on her own because she was so darn independent. Anyone else got a story???
