I was just reading a statement from the Nobel prize committee. They said they gave Pres O the prize as "encouragement". The article went on to say that it was an obvious slam to former Pres Bush and even admitted that Pres O had not done anything. The committee said the prize was not designed to be given just to someone who had accomplished something but to someone as encouragement. (that is news to me, I thought it was given for accomplishing something. Wonder if they can give an example of another time they gave it for encouragement?)

Mom's surgery has been cancelled . She has asthma and has a cough so the dr wants to put her on antibiotics . Hoping for next week. Ugh. She was ready mentally so I hope this does not set her back.

Hello everyone--hope you all are doing great. Julie--would you believe it is still raining??? Suppose to all week. Had flash floods here today. Patti--I too had to laugh at "GOOD LORD ABOVE". I know how you both feel!! Emily--hope work is going ok. I have been super busy. We are getting everything done before Friday. I SO appreciate all of ya'lls kind words, thoughts and prayers for my mom. As I have said, we have all just put this in God's hands. I am feeling good about this and I think mom is also. dad is having a little trouble. They have been married 55 yrs. Whew. can you imagine??!! haha I am so thankful for them and how they raised me and my brother. I am so behind on the news so really cannot make any comments. Now the illigals are demonstrating in the streets to be granted legal status as an American citizan. They hold up signs saying their hard workers and pay taxes . Well heres my sign back to them. Work hard in your own country . Don't take away AMERICAN JOBS from Americans. How can you pay taxas when your not even documented and if you are you are using stolen documents which means your breaking the law. You are crowding out our schools, hospitals and legal system. The gangs you bring with you are murdering in our streets. You don't get to be an american just because you want to only if you earn it' To the congressman that stood with these illigals should be Oh yes remembered and should be voted out! Now the homeland security dept is going to put suspeced illegals up in hotels untill they have their trials. Real tax payers money a gain will pay.
