I, too, want Moonlight back! I agree with Cynthia. My love of vampires started with Barnabus Collins and has continued with Twighlight. PLEASE bring Moonlight back!!!!!
Hopefully Moonlight will be reconsidered again for a 2nd season. Maybe the popularity of Twilight will strengthen it's fan base. That's how I discovered Moonlight. I was actually on Amazon.com looking for Twilight stuff for my daughter when I read the reviews for Moonlight. I bought the 1st season DVD and loved it, but was extremely disappointed to discover that was it! Let's hope it will get picked back up!
I would love a second and possible third season, but I fear CBS screwed up by cancelling. Alex has too many better offers to go back Moonlight now. Scifi may be doing reruns, but even if they do do another season, it just wouldn't be the same without the original cast.
Its a great show that i recently came to know about while flipping through channels. If the show was better publicized especially after the release of Twilight the movie it would get huge rating. True Blood won an critic's choice award, or something like that. So i'm sure if Moonlight was resurrected you would see a HUGE following, especially from the people who don't have shotime, HBO, etc. and the chance to watch True Blood. This is definitely a show that should have multiple seasons or at least get a second season and the least to wrap up the story line.
It started for me with Dark Shadows and Barnabus Collins. I would do anyting my mother asked me to do...dishes, fold clothes, sweep the floors...just to have time with barnabus. I remember her watching me one time and laughing, telling me I had a crush. Are you kidding...this was love. I introduced my son to Lestat in Interview with a vampire. Every Halloween our house is almost a shrine to Dracula. I found out recently that my son's favorite movie is a black and white version of Nesphuratu he and his grandmother watched. I didn't know he knew about black and whites and I dodn't know she watched vampire movies. And then came Moonlight...My son would shut off our cell phones, haave supper delivered, the dogs walked, the computer sut down, the land line ringer turned off and all his game systems switched off and be waiting for me every Friday night on the couch. I saw my son for 1 hour a week and Moonlight is what brought us together. This was family time. We talked about how his grandmother would have enjoyed this program. This was generational. CBS you took this away from us and you can bring it back.
Moonlight is BACK!!!! I'm watching it right now on SciFi!!!! Way to go SciFi Channel-----you came thru!!! Thank you! They have started the show from the beginning. Hopefully they will keep it going into what would have been season 2.

This was a great show. I think it wasn't advertised enough. Lot's of people didn't even know about it and when they finally watched it got hooked. Think of other shows that were in the talks of being cancelled and came back stronger after the 1st season. This show deserves a chance. There are so many shows on tv currently not worthy of air time.
