Firefly premiered at the same time as a Roddenberry-inspired series. The other series does not seem to have the same fan support that exists for Firefly... No movie was made of the other show...
I think if Firefly got relaunched, it would have a better run the second time around. Please bring back Captain Mal and The Crew!
unfortunately, i didn't discover firefly until my hubby made me watch the dvd's. now i'm obsessed!!! i really want to see it resurrected (along w/ the characters they killed off in serenity).
I bought the one season of "Firefly" on DVD and watch it all the time. In my opinion I thought that this show was one of the best tv shows in a long time. But if it is relaunched it needs to have the origanal cast.
Fox, for a show to develop such a following after ONLY 14 episodes says something.....why on earth would you not want to bring it back???????? It is a great show that gives a little something for everyone to watch, whether it be the scifi fan or the western.
Fox has no vision, the fact that they screwed with the order of the episodes caused it to be harmed beyond belief and yet Firefly still has a loyal fan base and the movie Serenity is selling like hotcakes! If Universal made a dime off the movie they have made a million off the DVD's. Someone should be able to see beyond the end of their nose and give Firefly the shot it deserved in the first place. My favorite episode was "Out of Gas", it explained even more about the cast and ship than "Serenity" episode. Joss Whedon is not a one-hit wonder, give him free rein, give him a good slot and let him show you what a truly successful series looks like on television! My dad was a trekkie freak and I had to endure seemingly endless hours of that drivel. Firefly is one of only two sci-fi shows that I ever liked and now it's gone and I've got nothing. Fox, you robbed me of something special and I want it back; Dong ma.
Let me start off by saying, I have only RECENTLY discovered Firefly. I did not watch it until 4 months ago. And, I know I am one of 12 other people who have, in the last year, bought and watched, and become avid fans of the series. I think it's a very golden opportunity , for Fox to either bring back the series, or sell the rights to those who would. I think the show already had a large cult group which has, in recent years, grown significantly. It would be a sound investment to revise the series.
This was the most amazing series! My husband and I can watch it over and over! I LOVE IT! The casting was great! It is so well written! BRING BACK SERENITY!
I love Firefly! I am a die-hard fan! Firefly is the most entertaining show ever! and Serenity is the most amazing movie ever! The cast is awesome and the script is well written!

firefly is what i used to base some starwars rpg missions on and now that ive done them all i cant think of very much but with this show and my friends not knowing about it i will have more ideas. plus the show was right up with farscape.
Excellent, original, fantastic cast, writing, crew - everything. There is already an established fan base. Let's put something a little different and actually good on television for a change. Please bring back Firefly.
Firefly is a quality TV show, created my very talented, caring and artistic people. Firefly was not given a chance to unfold and reveal to us all the fabulous stories that are waiting to be told. Please bring it back. I am a loyal and dedicated fan hoping the show will come back.
