Its the reason I bought a digital radio - there will never ne another classic rock station the does not get bogged down with modern rock, which would spoil it. Who is now going to play Hollywood Nights and 5:15 or ANY Rush???

SO GCAP MEDIA CAN`T MANAGE TO SELL PLANET ROCK TO ANYONE!!!,THE REASON,BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE KNOW IT EXISTS.IF DAB RADIO IS MEANT TO BE THE FUTURE OF RADIO,WHY DOES HARDLY ANYONE KNOW ABOUT IT.THE REASON APPEARS TO BE,THAT THE MEDIA COMPANIES,HAVE NOT BOTHERED TO ADVERTISE THEMSELVES.SO IF PROGRAMS LIKE PLANET ROCK ARE ALLOWED TO FOLD UP,THEN EVENTUALLY,SO WILL COMPANIES LIKE GCAP MEDIA FOLD.THE ANSWER TO THEIR BUSINESS PROBLEM,IS AN OLD BUSINESS SAYING,"YOU HAVE TO SPECULATE TO ACCUMULATE".SO COME ON GCAP MEDIA,PUT SOME EFFORT IN,AND TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY ARE MISSING.BECAUSE PLANET ROCK WILL MOST DEFINATELY BE MISSED.

Planet Rock is the best music broadcaster since the OGWT
It means a great deal to me to be able listen to the music I grew up with and even hosted by my rock n roll heroes, how good is that !!
It MUST be saved !

Planet Rock was the reason I bought a DAB radio, it's the only station that plays music I want to listen to all the time. My ten year old daughter loves it as well. It must not be allowed to close, it's the only antidote to the endless wall to wall pop pap that the other so called radio stations subject us to. LONG LIVE PLANET ROCK!!!

Sod Northern Rock - save Planet Rock!

Planet Rock is the only station we can hear on dab radio here in the UK and I think its BRILLIANT!
Also, I bought my Dab portable radio which I take for walkies, everybody else has a dog I have my radio,grins, and of course have another DAB radio at home..

Some come on everybody let's get this show on the road?!!.. or rather KEEP IT on the road!!...lol

Am a HUGE fan of Planet Rock,and have been following whats been going on, the station has been growing ever since day one, and now with the presenters it has, it is a great station. How can a company invest all the time and effort it has into making a radio station, and then decide it does not want it, are there no people with vision left, this brings a whole new meaning to save the planet....rock.

So once again Rock fans in this country get pushed aside by men and women in grey suits with no sense of what the public really want!This must not be allowed to happen if this was France there would be a bloody revolution so come on rock fans lets fight for what we already have a brilliant rock station that keeps us all sane!

Call me an old cynic but it seems rock radio in the UK always gets shafted, ever since Radio Veronica in the early 60,s until now I have always had to shop around. Just when I thought " heaven at last" here we go again!Long live Radio Caroline!Perhaps an amalgamation could be possible, we can only dream.

I work shifts and this is the only radio channel that keeps my sanity and breaks up the boredom. If I had the money, I would help to buy this great station!

ok, just read that listener buy out failed, £2 mill is alot! But just maybe a rock star buy out?
Although we both hate the adverts, maybe there will need to be more to pay the money?
Also, could the audience be broadened by having some evening slots on whats happening now ie, nu-metal scene aimed at the younger audience.

The only reason to listen to DAB is Planet Rock. I purchased DAB radios for home, workshop and office to get my fix of classic music from the past fourty years and not recycled modern one hit wonders. I am now looking to increase my collection purchase albums by bands I had never heard before (Focus, Budgie, etc).
If the musicians benefit from the fans purchasing their wares after hearing them on this station, why not create a fund to keep it going with their royslties subsidising the best station on air.

It's always the way, something good comes along for lovers of good music and somebody wants to take it away. If I can't listen to Planet Rock then I'll have to listen to radio 3 or 4 'cos I won't listen to the utter crap thats on virgin or radio 1. These are the stations the powers that be want us to listen to to be brainwashed by boyband pop crap!!!!!!
