I’ll be loosing an integral part of my life at the end of this month, I’ve tried the other Rock station in the London area, but I always go back to Planet Rock, it’s the B-E-S-T.
PLEASE somebody Save PLANET ROCK!
Planet Rock CANT go !!!! The ONLY reason I bought 2 DAB radios was to listen to Planet Rock...!!!!1 Which Idiot wants to get rid of such a fantastic radio station as this - must be some boring crapshow listener - Get a life and keep Planet Rock !!!!

I've been listening to Planet Rock for the last 12 months. I only got a DAB radio so that I could get access to good quality rock music instead of the usual dross available on most AM/FM stations.
How can any self respecting media company think that the future is in stereotypical commercial FM radio.
What do they think people are buying DAB's for?
It would be a huge shame if Planet Rock closed. I and many of my friends have only just discovered it. I might as well throw away my Car DAB radio if it closes. I am sure that there are enough listeners out there to keep it viable. Good luck! I wish I had known about it earlier & had been able to spread the word more. Heck I would even pay say £5 a month to keep it open as I know many others would too.
To all those moaning if it closes - why didn't you put your hands in your pockets and make a pledge to save it? We could have bought it ourselves! Vicki, Plymouth
Mmmmmmm a little harsh me thinks, not everyone can afford to put their hands in their pockets, however good on those who did.
Unfortunatly I guess that doesn't matter anymore now. All we can do is pull together and demonstrate our feelings about Planet Rock.
Typical UK. The hundreds of thousands...millions maybe - bought up and crazy about Zep, Floyd, Maiden et al are to lose their only source of music enjoyment short of cd's. With probably more than a hundred crummy "pop" stations battling for audiences, are we REALLY to believe that our genre is such a niche market that it really ain't worth having?? HOW DARE THEY! I wonder what salaries these execs and dj's are on? Not making enough profit? If it makes enough to clear it's costs and give me 30k to live on, I'LL BUY IT!
Grahame - now in Tenerife
This radio station just has to stay! My little boy who's nearly 4 years old, has become a Planet Rock monster. What the hell is he going to listen to now!?? Please don't take it away from him!! (Oh, or his parents.)
is'nt it typical of this bloody country?, your told to go digital so you buy a dab radio and then they take off the one and only station playing rock.c'mon someone out there buy this brilliant planet rock
It is simply the best radio station around. Don't let it die. It could improve - go on FM. Maybe include a bit more rock from 80's and 90's to widen listener appeal not just us old'ns.
Ok, so the playlist is sometimes predictable, but where else will you here Kingdom Come or Kings X on any radio station? Let alone Rush, Queensryche, Spocks Beard... the list could be huge, but only if the station is saved. Maybe we might even hear the best geordie band ever, the Wildhearts, on a national Radio Station! But only if the station is saved. Never give up on a good thing - unlike the tossers who own Planet Rock. Please, someone buy it. You know you want to! Pedro Garcia
It's fantastic that so many people care. Someone with the resources can surely make a go of this if so much of the dross the media pumps out can survive.
We cannot let this happen , Planet Rock is my friend & workmate as I work on my own, mostly in empty houses all day, & it keeps me going through the day also it's such a mine of information of the currant music scene as well as all the classic rock of my past ,,
Long Live(Planet)Rock,, as Mr Daltrey once said !!! Dave Green,,, Chester
I've been a listener since i spent £600 on a DAB radio. I liked Planet rock so much I spent another £400 on DAB for the car.
There are no other stations that come even close! Ricks place even makes the miserable gits I work with laugh!

We can't let this happen, I refuse to have to listen to countless cloned county pop stations.
Nicky Horne is a legend and Planet Rock is the best thing to happen to radio in decades.
If FM is the only way forward, bring on Planet Rock FM!

It would be tragic if the station were to disappear. It's truly unique in the UK.
Planet Rock is the only reason to own a DAB tuner

The only station where I like virtually everything that's played. It's the only reason to have DAB.
