There is a campaign going on for this issue - Check it out

If you are not going to let them have Junk at lunch or parties at school than don't give them fast food ads on report cards.

aaaahahahahahaha....
people are going to eat there, even after your kids have grown up.

it wont kill you to reward them with something that tastes good, even though its terrible for you

I'm not saying take them there all the time just everyonce in awhile

While the fact that companies want to lock in consumers at an early age, doesn't every industry aim to do so? The biggest problem is that parents are not involved enough in a child's life that they want to blame someone else for the way their child turns out.

The parent has to know how to show authority and tell their child 'no' if and when a child nags them about something, be it fast food.....or well, anything they want that their parents won't give them.

It's not a matter of legislation, it's a matter of parenting; and last time I checked, the purpose of the government is not to raise our children.

i hear ya buddy.

But umm, the last time i checked all the government cares about is mula(aka money, for those of you who dont know)

Like seriously
EVERYWAR IS ALWAYS FOUGHT OVER RELIGION, OR MONEY

It has been clearly established that food companies want to lock in on consumers at an early age as possible. Children respond to the packaging and think anything in a McDonald's wrapper tastes good. With this kind of influence it is clear that children nagging their parents for unhealthy food is a strategy of the agro-industrial complex. It is time to call for government regulation of advertising aimed at children. Such regualtions are already in place in most modern European countries.

I agree with Randy....If an ocasional Mcdonalds meal will help increase grades why not.  Mcdonalds in moderation is not bad.

I am with you on the side of the fast food industry and over bad health side, but... Please notice the more important picture here, it is to support the grades. so if the parent is responsible, the kids are not spend so much time in mcdonalds in the first place. so if the kids eat 3-4 times a year, it really isn't that bad. but if they are already there weekly we have a serious problem. I know that my son's school had every student watch Supersize This. ao the kids are learning what it mean to take that kind of junk in.

Yeah, i watched it too, 2 years ago when i was in 8th Grade, imma sophomore now...

Thank god 8th grades over.
