i think, no i know god said not to judge. therefore i don't. i do follow the golden rule and love everyone as god loved me. it is not up to me to dictate how others live there life all i can do is make sure you know jesus and love you the rest is between god and them
Okay.. This is my problem with some people, they are so close-minded. I'm not Gay/Lesbian but I think they should have the same rights as we all do. They should be able to have the same insurance rights as a marriage between a man and a woman. Stop judging people and give equal rights.
How would you feel if you weren't able to marry the one you love? If everyone was stopping you? Put yourself if your shoes before you judge, before you think its wrong. You should and are allowed to love whoever you want, and you should be able to marry anyone you want, whether that be a male or female.
Im 100% straight and I say leave the gays/and lesbos alone.
Well David had multiple wives does that make biligamy ok. If so then I'll sign the petion.
Not the fact is that no matter what you say the bible is full of contradictions. I'm not denying the existence of god or christ just bringing to light the corruption of man. We see people changing the word of god to suit their needs all the time who's to say that our bible is the true word of god.

It remains weird, that people still hide in a religion, based on a book written and made up by the Romans, whereas they were as gay aa the word gay can describe.
It really makes me sick, that there are people around, so blinded by a book to judge others how to live their lives the way they want. I'm Jewish and a full 100% lesbian...and proud to live the life I WANT!!...Hell..sorry for being human.

First time visitor to YouChoose.com and I wonder why the application doesn't offer an option for people oppose to certain petitions to voice their opinion. Instead of writing an argumentative comment against this pledge, I'd simply like to offer my vote, "NO."
But not everybody in America is a Christian and/or believes what you believe. Gays and lesbians are justt like you and me: good people who have a right to marry. I don't think that your god would enjoy such intelorence.
It was, but we took out God from public schools. Are we not allowed to make more changes to deal with the ever increasing religious freedom of America?
In my own personal opinion, if the Christians (and other organized man-made religions) want to keep their sacrement of marriage all for themselves, I say so be it. What's important are the rights, LGBT persons should (and some day will) have all the same rights as everyone else in this country, because we will never back down from that fight. But part of what I don't quite get is the desire of the LGBT community to have it be "marriage." Why would you want to be involved in an institution that hates who you are and the way you live and love. I would personally be insulted if the government forced "Gay Marriage" on Churches and other places of worship. If they don't want us, I say **** 'em! (but that's me)
Equality is what matters, equality in the eyes of the law. I don't want to be appeased, I want the respect I deserve as a citizen of this country and as a member of "the community" The rest is just semantics.
However, that doesn't mean I will try to prevent Gay Marriage from being a reality, and lets face it, it's happening and it's gonna spread, and there isn't anything the, Conservative Christian Right can really do about that.
You guys are a dying breed . . . deal with it, cause we're not going anywhere.

Same sex marriage is dead WRONG! It should be just as illegal as it is immoral. I grow tired of homos and gay supporters use straw man arguments to support gay marriage. It is wrong, it will always be wrong and nothing will ever change it.
God did not intend for us to marry or have sex with partners of the same sex. We already have enough problems with children having sex at too early an age, now they have to contend with homosexuals telling them it is acceptable to love someone of the same sex.
It is SICK. I hope more people stand up and quit hiding and hoping someone else will take care of this problem. Stop it! We must all stand up and fight these changes that affect us all. Help keep marriage the sacred bond that it is and as God intended, between a man and a woman.

You claim that is is sick, and it's not. It's perfectly acceptable to love somebody of the same sex as well as practice sexual intercourse with them. There is nothing wrong with that. Your god may disagree with homsexuality, but he also states that all men are created equal. Isn't it about itme we, including you and the government, treat people equally? Not only does the Bible say that, but also the Constitution. Ok, look. I understand this section is about religion, but stop assuming everyone here is a die-hard Christian. God(Not the Christian God. A god higher than him.) may have created the world, but he gave us free will and a mind so that we could make our own decisions. Gays/Lesbians/Bisexuals are ridiculed and tormented all the time. That is sick. If your God is so loving then why can't he accept that Gays/Lesbians/Bisexuals just want to be happy? I chose to follow this God's teachings, but I'm understanding more and more every day that he is a control freak. I agree same sex marriages are wrong and immoral! God wants all to repent and believe in Him. And He does not want any to perish.
