Current Status: |
Township Board of Supervisors issues: |
1. They do not want to vote on Ordinance until WCASD main issues are resolved (pumping station & Dunning Drive) |
2. They want to make changes to the Ordinance to reduce night events form 40-20 or 25, place some restrictions for traffic, parking and safety |
WCASD issues: |
1. They no longer want to support the light initiative as they are more concerned about relationship with township to obtain approvals for potential new elementary school adjacent to Rustin |
Next Steps: |
WCASD School Board meetings; |
1. We have reps at these meetings and they will continue to ensure the open issues are discussed and priorities are established to bring closure to these items in a timely fashion |
Westtown Planning Commission meetings: |
1. We will have reps attend these meetings to ensure the 2 major open issues are being addressed and closed by WCASD |
Westtown Board of Supervisor meetings: |
1. We will have reps attend when required to push the supervisors to discuss and vote on Ordinance |
2. Upon approval of Supervisors approval of light Ordinance (we hope to obtain approval), we then need to have WCASD submit a "Request for Special Exception" to the township to request installation of lights. This must be requested by WCASD and granted by township to allow installation |
3. WCASD must complete the bid package to light vendors and have WCASD board funding for this approx 200k effort. |
4. MUSCO lightning can turn around quote and installation within 60-90 days |
