Keep serenity as a standalone movie and resurect the series where it left off. In my view on it is that Serenity took the whole storyline and weirded it up so it fit from begining to end. Example... rescue river and bring doc and her on as crew members where as the series had him as passenger her as cargo etc...

Fillion would do it in a second, he's said so several times.  The ones who probably would NOT are Gina Torres (Zoe), because she's said she has no clue how to play Zoe with Wash dead, and Summer Glau (River), as she has a new tv series coming out with a starring role (the upcoming Terminator series..she's the Terminator).

I've signed this petition because I'm a HUGE fan of both Firefly and Serenity.  Though I seriously doubt that the Firefly will be ressurected or that there will be another Serenity movie.  Quite frankly, I don't think Nathan Fillion is interested in continuing his role as Mal Reynolds.  Let's face it, if he doesn't want to do it anymore, then I don't think I'd be interested in watching either.

 

Its obvious I m not the only one that has been so moved by "Serenity" and "firefly". I cant quite describe why those characters and the story got so deep under my skin. But after seeing it, I intend to buy Serenity for all my friends for christmas, hanaka, japanese new year... can you fit a dvd into an easter egg?......... There just has to be a sequel. Has to be, or , and I mean it, I will stamp my little feet and hold my breath and then ill scream and scream and scream till they hear me in California.. and I live in Ireland!  On a less glib note.. anyone know whats the best way to donate to firefly?

i am a huge huge fan, i love the music, i love the dialog and i love the actors, nathan fillion rocks and jewel staite is HOT, i read somewhere that there maybee three movies in total, and possibley even another series of firefly..... please god let this be so.... this is a petition i would have signed with blood if i could.

I never got to watch the show when it was aired due to my time spent in the Marine Corps. I was over in Iraq at the time of its show schedule. I was a tremendous fan of the Buffy and Angel series that I own everyone of the seasons. So when my little brother told me that Joss Whedon has done it again with another fabulous show I couldn't wait to see. By point of fact my brother told me that it was by far the best thing Whedon has ever done to date. I was on pins and needles to see. I came home and it was no longer on television. I was disappointed. However when I did see the dvd of the season I bought it immediately and fell in love with the show. And then a year later the movie Serenity came out I was there on the day it was first in theaters here in Vegas and went 2 more times to see it and bought it when first came out on dvd. I must say that I would be ecstatic to see it brought back to television so the sci fi nerds like me will have something to discuss in my forum. But for more reason than that it is just good television which is soooo very rare today. Too much junk on TV that I don't even bother to watch it unless its on the discovery or history channel. BRING THE SHOW BACK

I just want to thank everyone who signed my petition, and I hope this incourages the rest to follow their ambitions and fight for what they believe in!
